シーズンオフだったのか、お部屋を4ランクグレードアップしていただき、広びろとした綺麗なスイーツで大満足でした。ただ、街の中心までちょっとあり行きは下りで歩けますが、帰りはタクシーになります。ホテルの無料のシャトルバスがあるということだったので安心していたのですが、本数も少なく最終が5時半ごろなので、夕食後は間に合いません。ホテルのレストランはお味もサービスも普通でした。

This is an excellent hotel, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Madeira. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, everything is extremely clean, the breakfast is delicious with lots of choice. The room was big, tastefully decorated and well equipped with a comfy bed. The hotel is set in a botanic garden that’s a wonderful oasis and so relaxing. There is a great pool and other leisure facilities. There is also a tortoise. What more could you want? Look no further - stay here!

Exceeded expectations on every front. Superb and personalised service from the moment of arrival to departure. Equivalent to the very best one could expect from the Raffles in Singapore, the Mandarin in Hong Kong, and many other gems. Nothing was obtrusive and attention was warm and friendly by everyone. Beautiful propert and grounds/gardens in particular. True 5 star, staff and service lovely - organised several trips for us.
Only thing - and it’s personal opinion - was that the menus for breakfast, lunch, dinner were not always to our taste and there were often better and cheaper options in Funchal. We tended to eat from the breakfast buffet rather than table menu which we enjoyed b much.
None of the above should dissuade you from staying there. I would say it’s one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at in the world and certainly Europe.

Wonderful hotel. The staff were helpful and accommodating. The food was superb, we were spoilt for choice at breakfast, the dinner we had at the hotel was also delicious. The shuttle bus into Funchal was a great service and when that was not on the staff would call a taxi for you.

The service is exceptional where they go above and beyond to help you have the best experience possible.
