Nice place to stay - shower at times only cold water - particularly around 8am - a bit of a walk from centre- but overall v. Good

Frábært hótel á góðum stað. Stutt að labba í bæinn. Góð þjónusta og vingjarnlegt starfsfólk.

Besides the beautiful architectural design of this hotel, it is quite rundown. Walls are scuffed, mould in the showers and unfortunately their air conditioning system is subpar. When we visited in July, the room temperature would not go below 25° and when we brought it up with management, they said that that is not uncommon during their peak heat season. Would definitely not recommend staying there in the summer months.

Der Garten ist sehr schön, besonders am Abend mit einem Glas Rotwein haben wir eine Auszeit vom Trubel der Stadt sehr genossen.

Lovely hotel . Very peaceful, relaxing space .Fabulous garden . Great breakfast . Couldn't find staff to order drinks/lunch . Extremely slow service . Staff seem to be new & not able to answer questions - although all very pleasant / friendly. Expedia website says - free bottle of wine . Misleading . You get a small vial of white port . Hotel also offers complimentary drink but small print says this too is a glass of port not a drink of your choice . Ground floor room at front of hotel was right on street with public walking past room . Could not open curtains etc.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Editory Garden - the garden offered a nice oasis of calm in what can be quite a busy city. Location is probably a little further out from the centre than we would have preferred, with a bit of an uphill walk from the Bolhão/Santa Catarina region which was a bit of a nuisance in the heat. I would say that breakfast seemed slightly overpriced for what was on offer and, as a coffee lover, the machine coffee left a lot to be desired. But if you're not in a rush, there are plenty of local cafes nearby. Staff were all very friendly and the bed comfy, with very good air conditioning. So overall, a good option if you don't mind a bit of a walk and aren't reliant on a 5 star breakfast.

The staff was so kind when I arrived, they offered a drink ticket for a glass of wine, and the property itself was very nice and clean. Would recommend 1000x!

Wonderful location, and excellent experience

Lovely hotel in good location but the stars are the staff. I had air conditioning issue and tv issue and they sorted both out quickly which is sign of good service. Gabe the young man in the bar, only 18, serving drinks, snacks and taking dinner orders on his own was very happy, cheerful and professional. He should be promoted. Angelo on reception does a 1st class job as does Vania - her handwritten welcome notes really make a guest feel special. Thank you from a solo traveler.

Gut für einen Städtetrip!

Staff went out of their way to assist you. Breakfast was excellent and they made omelets to your liking as well as oatmeal. Would have been nice to have more varied fruit eg strawberries, blueberries etc

Bra och trevligt hotell med god frukost. Personalen något stressade under frukost, visade inte sina bästa sidor då kaffemaskinen var trasig. Perfekt läge nära centrum med trevlig miljö.
