I highly recommend this hotel. The staff was amazing. Truly 5 starts. The hotel is beautiful and we loved our room. Stayed 6 nights. Rooftop bar has amazing sunset views.

Beautiful hotel with amazing welcoming staff. The hotel itself was a unique and beautiful building, and the room was extremely comfortable with a nice little patio.

My wife and I stayed at Timbre Virtudes during our stay in Porto during September 2025. This is a beautiful hotel in a great location. It's not in the heart of the most touristy area but off the beaten path, close to the waterfront and just downhill (130 steps) from the old Jewish quarter. We couldn't be happier about our decision to stay there. The rooftop bar was very relaxing and the morning breakfasts were excellent. I would recommend this hotel to anybody looking for a place to stay in Porto.

A beautiful hotel, only slightly off the beaten path. Porto is similar to Lisbon in the hills category and this hotel is great if you’re willing to hike or Bolt up, but so perfect when you finish the day at the water side. The team provides perfect service from dining, to check in to making sure you are enjoying your stay with welcome gifts. The balcony rooms are beautiful and provide a glimpse of the sunset views as does the rooftop area. The rooftop team also provides the perfect drinks and snacks as necessary. Our only hiccups were the WiFi and A/C malfunctions which were not worked out before we left.

This was one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had. It helps that Porto is incredible but this hotel was part of that experience for me. The room with the balcony was exactly what I wanted in a European experience. I couldn’t ask for anything more.

Everything was beyond our expectation. Everyone was courteous, helpful and friendly. The hotel is as beautiful as the photos. As a bonus, the hotel restaurant was excellent and the chefs prepared special meals based on some dietary restrictions. Signature cocktails were amazing!

Within the historic centre of Porto which makes it convenient to walk around without driving everywhere. Beautiful historic building with every modern convenience. Staff were outstanding in their friendliness and hospitality. No onsite parking but close by. Highly recommended.

The hotel is in an excellent location, walking distance from Sao Bento station and close the Ribeira area. Warm and friendly staff, who give excellent recommendations for Bars and restaurants. The room was beautifully designed, spacious and very comfortable. Would definitely stay at Hotel Timbre Virtudes again.

Timbre Virtudes is an exceptional hotel, they truly go out of there way to make a wonderful experience. From the friendliness of the staff, clean rooms, the morning breakfast, cannot recommend Timbre Virtudes enough.

This was absolutely my favorite place I stayed during my trip to Portugal. The service was spectacular, the location was perfect, and the staff were amazing. I will definitely be back and highly recommend to anyone going to Porto

Super godt hotel super service fra ende til anden Der er kun et lille ups Og der er at hvis man bor på anden sal og har terrasse som vi havde , så er der en susen fra deres “ maskiner “ der stod over bl.a. vores værelse , så der var ikke så hyggeligt at sidde på terrassen eller have døren åben Ellers kun super tilfreds

We had a wonderful stay at Timbre Virtudes. The hotel is is situated in a beautifully restored building that adds history and charm to your stay. From the moment we checked in the staff was courteous, helpful, and warm. We were in a rush to get to a tour and they did everything possible to get us there on time. When it was time to unfortunately depart, our Uber ended up coming to the end of the street that the hotel was located on. Without hesitating, staff helped us carry our luggage all the way down the cobblestone street and made sure we were situated before leaving. All in all, I highly recommend staying here for your Porto experience!

Excellent hotel, great restaurant, very friendly team - they really look after you.

Very nice hotel, only a short walk to the centre of town, Ribiera district etc. but nicely out of the crowds. Very welcoming staff. Breakfast buffet is ok, and freshly cooked options (although these were not well advertised). Would stay here again.

Beautiful once you’re inside. The surroundings are typical for an older neighborhood. Staff were very nice and accommodating. There is no parking, so you have to figure that out elsewhere. (Kinda stressful & pricy.) Don’t charge anything to the room, as it will include a 6 euro tax. My partner’s 3 euro coffee, ended up being 9 euro! We were not informed that there would be this extra charge on each food purchase or we would’ve just paid right then. Internet connection was also always an issue. It is a very nice hotel, otherwise.
