James provided some excellent suggestions of restaurants in the area and things to do. We dined at two of the restaurants recommended and both were excellent. They were also likely locations that we wouldn’t have happened upon on our own. The wee loft was in a good location, with an easy walk to McCaig’s Tower and downtown Oban (a slightly more challenging walk back - to be expected in hilly Oban). The loft was clean, but we found the beds and furniture a tad uncomfortable. There were some oddities with the plumbing (took ages to get hot water to run in the kitchen faucet, had to run the tap in the sink to turn on the shower). It was extremely humid and the property would benefit from a dehumidifier or a fan or two. The property was equipped with everything we needed - even a couple of Glen Cairn glasses for whisky (a nice touch!). Thanks James for the pleasant stay and excellent restaurant suggestions.

This was a wonderful stay, especially if you wanted to be back away from the crowded areas. My map app took me to the wrong side, but theres a little sign up, so you at least know you're near the right place. Oh, and James might tease you a bit ;) But then was very happy to give recommendations and show me where the clothes drying rack was

James was a wonderful host, friendly and welcoming. The loft was very comfortable and clean. Would definitely recommend.

The flat was quite comfortable. James was a most accommodating host. He provided lots of “extra” touches that made the visit even more comfortable. He shared some whisky and there was milk for coffee and some hot cereal in the room 😊

Eine sehr geräumige Unterkunft, sehr gut ausgestattet mit allem was man benötigt. Ein großer Parkplatz ist vorhanden (wichtig, wenn man mit dem Auto in Oban ist, da die Straßen oft sehr eng und Parkplätze Mangelware sind). Und über einen Fußweg ist man in ein paar Minuten im Stadtzentrum mit seinen Restaurants. Trotzdem ist die Unterkunft ruhig gelegen, mit viel Grün herum. Der Gastgeber ist ausnehmend freundlich und hilfsbereit und gibt gerne gute Tipps, was man in der Nähe unternehmen kann. Uns hat der Aufenthalt sehr gefallen und wir können die Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen.

Best nights sleep all holiday! Lovely quiet apartment, beautifully clean and great location for a casual stroll into town for dinner. Thanks for the helpful travel tips too. We wish we had booked to stay longer.

C'est un bel endroit propre. Nous étions bien logés étant 4 adultes. Le propriétaire a fait l'acceuil en nous laissant des cocktails. Nous avions accès à un stationnement et une petite terasse. Frigidaire disponible ainsi que cuisine complète. Le centre ville est facile d'accès à pied.

Great spot. Very nice view of the neighborhood. Initially it seemed a bit far from the city center, but it’s very walkable through the walkway at the end of the road. The kitchen was well stocked. I stayed at 3 different locations on our trip to Scotland and this was our favorite. James the host was great.

Largieside was a wonderful place to stay, lovely space, comfortable beds, James has thought of everything, stayed 3 nights wish we had booked for longer. Superb host with great general knowledge.

A wonderful location and spot. James was marvelous as a host. Had the fridge stocked for me, my wife, and her parents. He was an excellent tour guide and travel agent. He booked us dinner at a lovely seafood spot down on the water, and laid out a great travel itinerary around Oban, and for our drive back to Glasgow. The rooms were spotless had all the amenities one could want. We will be staying there again on our next trip to Oban!

After our trip to the Isle of Mull, it was a short 10 minute drive to Largieside for our overnight stay before our travel back to Lancashire the next day. The accommodation was very clean, new sheets on all the beds and our host even stocked the fridge and cupboard with bread, milk,breakfast cereal’s and butter as well as a bottle beer and a can of gin for myself and partner to sit back and relax in the evening. We had our two children with us and there was a really nice play park and sensory garden a short walk down from accommodation address. Overall we was very pleased with the apartment and felt relaxed for our nights stay. I would recommend to any couple or small family for the overall quality and cost
