The room was very clean and furnishings towels and bedding of good quality. The decor was rather bland maybe a few bright pictures and a colourful throw . The service was faultless at both dinner and breakfast. The food at dinner was very good . Breakfast food was good quality but was very overcooked. We enjoyed our stay.

Exceptional staff, warm welcome, great food and an immaculate room

Incredible hotel, restraunt and thr staff were super friendly, topped off with a bath overlooking the highlands. We had an incredible stay and will definitely be back.

Friendly staff, excellent food, they also managed not to look too put out as we arrived with a big deerhound in tow.

All aspects of the hotel were very good, all rooms were pleasingly decorated and as you would wish in a traditional highland hotel, even down to some whisky in the room. We requested a front room and this was provided. Great cooking.

Lovely and special place. Beautiful art nouveau building and full of art work. Nice touch to have some single malt whiskey in the rooms.

I was taken aback by how quiet the surrounding area was. The only noises you could hear, were the sheep and an occassional car going by. Kate and Emma were amazing on ensuring that everything was running according to plan. The food was very tasty and it was nice to interact with other guests during the meals. We met people from all around the world. The rooms were very spacious and clean. Can't wait to visit again!

The location is stunning and i think in times past the hotel would reflect that. To start with a positive the staff are really lovely. So friendly and welcoming. They let us book in early and stay longer on the departing day as the road was closed. Which was extremely kind of them. The cooked breakfast was amazing. Generous portions and plenty hot coffee and fresh fruit. Nothing was a bother to them and they made us feel very welcome. Unfortunately the hotel felt quite run down. Unusual musty smell in the lounge and the room we stayed in was very disappointing for the cost. Very dated furniture thats seen better days. The bed was comfortable but the frame must be from the 80's and worn looking. We had a View onto the roof which was disappointing as it was such a beautiful location. The main thing that repelled me was the huge stains on the carpet. I felt i needed to keep my shoes on. It was quite grubby and the stains were large. The bathroom was lovely and very clean, although both my husband and i almost fell while having a shower as the bath surface was so slippy. It would be dangerous for a child or older person i feel. The cost of the hotel is expensive. I dont mind paying when i feel its worth it but the accommodation was far from worth the price. The staff really were lovely though and went above and beyond with their customer service.

Nice quiet location. The staff were so helpful due to a local cycle race. They were very accommodating meeting our needs. Room was well appointed and comfortable.

The manager went above and beyond to make mine and my wee boys stay wonderful. We had a brilliant stay and were made to feel welcome and cared for by all. I would highly recommend this hotel, it is beautiful. We will be back, thank you so much
