ゲイロック ホテル

The staff were wonderful for our stay in Gairloch. We enjoyed our dinner and breakfast at the hotel, and our room was very comfortable. Being there at the end of the season had its limitations and the hotel is in need of some basic repairs.

Great service, stunning location

Property is tired and needs a lot of updating. Bed and bathroom were clean but very old fixtures and fitting such as carpets and chairs were not. Room had a stale smell and needed airing out. We had to sleep with the window open. There was peeling paint and a water stain from a leak in the room. Staff were trying there best but I wouldn’t stay again.

The beautiful location is the main attraction for us. Impressive architecture and very nicely decorated. Dining roon staff were delightful. Our room 301 had a shower which was difficult to switch from tap mode.

A good place to stay

The public areas of the hotel and the location were great! The room was adequate. Nothing special. We've enjoyed so many places with character and the rooms at the Gairloch lacked that. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it but it was definately a hotel for bus tour type accommodations

Great location on the seafront, you can actually hear waves breaking. Huge breakfasts and having sampled the restaurant one night can recommend that too. Only negative was the room wasn't serviced.

Friendly staff, epic location, good variety at breakfast

Dirty room, door wouldn't close properly, TV dated and hanging off poorly mounted wall bracket, room next door light on all night shining into my room, noisy staff wandering about and slamming doors from 6am. Towel rail not working and taped up connection with black electrical tape. Won't go again

Nice location

We came up on motor bike,really good ride up.A very nice hotel,a very good night & stay. 👍👍👍.

C'est un grand et bel hôtel vu de l'extérieur. L'intérieur rappelle les grands fastes d'antan, il y a même 1 salle de bal avec son parquet. On imagine parfaitement les kilts virevolter lors des gatherings ou autres cérémonies, c'est génial. Dans l'hôtel tout est fonctionnel mais on voit que " ça sate un peu ". Une rénovation serait à envisager pour certains mais pour nous, comme déjà écrit : on adore littéralement ! Une mention spéciale à CORINA qui a été hyper professionnelle et attentionnée avec nous et la lady ( fan de Cat Stevens et Madness ) qui a su démêler l'imbroglio comptable avec brio. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir

Lovely room, friendly staff, easy parking

Perfectly serviceable mid-range highland hotel. Big Victorian building so a bit creaky and a bit old fashioned. Decor feels a bit tired and clearly a struggle to keep on top of minor maintenance in such a large building. Staff and service were good. The location is the main reason to go all that way, not the hotel itself. Would be fine to go back if I’m ever close by again.

Stayed with my son while we explored the Highlands and found the hotel to be an excellent base for us while we stayed in Gairloch. We were on foot so had no vehicle but the hotel has excellent parking facilities. Being situated right on the water-front the views were stunning and the beach provided a great place for a little after dinner walk. All the amenities you'd expect, we found the place to be warm and friendly. The rooms were clean and well presented. We'd be happy to come back here and stay again.

Property was nice, the staff was very pleasant and helpful. Would recommend the hotel.

In die Jahre gekommenes, ehemals schönes Hotel. Wir hatten ein schäbiges Zimmer, nach hinten raus. Tapete kam von der Wand, Badezimmerausstattung sehr alt, Fenster im schlechten Zustand, eins nicht zu öffnen. Offen liegende Verlängerungskabel. Sehr schöne Lage, direkt am Wasser.

Beautiful location

Amazing looking hotel opposite the beach. The room was large with a large bedroom but the corridor had a funny smell from damp. The food was good, although it was very difficult to get the staff’s attention in the morning at breakfast and nothing was being refilled so there were limited options which was surprising as we went down during the middle of service.
