Avoid at all costs Staff are unhelpful and borderline rude. Booked a double room for sole occupancy and was given a twin room. When I protested this was not what was booked I was fobbed off. I asked to speak to the duty manager and waited over 30 minutes before going back to reception. Duty manager was aware I’d asked to speak to them but decided I wasn’t her priority. Fobbed off that the hotel was fully booked and could not change my room and offer no alternative so agreed they would give me a refund and checked out. Went to another hotel. Now radio silence and struggle to get an answer from them with regards the refund. This hotel is tired and dated and the room I was given just felt unclean so I wasn’t prepared to stay there. Won’t be going back

For the price of the rooms is shocking compared to what you get and the customer service is terrible definitely won’t be staying there again avoid this hotel

Room could have been cleaner. Carpet needs changing and a few minor repairs to smarten it up. Otherwise comfortable and warm.

Staff were great, room was super warm, hadn’t realised you could turn the radiator down

Friendly staff and very clean rooms.

The rooms are pretty tired and the beds are uncomfortable but for a night its perfect to see family at the university

There wasnt a doubke room available that i booked so had to go elsewhere

The staff was amazing and so helpful! The rooms were comfortable, and the food was delicious! Very convenient for moving my daughter into the Uni!

Staff was excellent, room was clean, bed was comfy. Breakfast went above and beyond! Lots of choices in their buffet style breakfast! All tasty

Yes, old. We were very sick and only one person attended to us. Head of housekeeping woman helped get us something to eat. In a non accessible room. In bed all 3 days with no updated tv. No Ice was offered nothing to drink or eat but once. We’re seniors and no one noticed we weren’t alright from main desk. First trip abroad from US sick 10 days.

The location of the hotel is ideal for the Wallace Monument, it’s within walking distance. I have to admit though that the cooked breakfast, on a self service basis was poor. Albeit the continental breakfast was ok. We also ate in the hotel the evening before which the food was available was off the bar menu, it was nice. Rooms simple but clean and comfortable.

Rooms were spacious & bed very comfortable. Staff were welcoming & approachable creating a nice atmosphere already initiated by the drive up to the hotel through the stunning university grounds. At 9am breakfast (serves till 10) was good with no complaints in quality but choice was very limited and only empty spaces where the fruit & pastries had been. And so, petty as this may sound it has affected my rating

Whilst initially suprised at bein on the university grounds, it was really beautiful, lovely staff and the food was excellent. We had window view of the wallace memorial, rooms were simple, warm, clean, great if you have a car
