We had a lovely night's stay at the Sugar Boat in their family room. The room was beautiful and the breakfast was fabulous! We'd definitely recommend to anyone, and will return next time we're in Helensburgh - thank you!

We had a fantastic stay at Sugar Boat on our way up to the Highlands. The room was very comfortable, the staff were amazing and the food was great! Would definitely recommend!

Good stay and friendly staff. The girl cleaning rooms was especially helpful with hints on places to visit and we were happy with every single one. The food was all wonderful and the open kitchen view was nice to see. The noise to the outside world could be toned down but otherwise any noise inside was quiet.

Our family of four very much enjoyed our one night stay in Hellensburgh at Sugar Boat. The restaurant downstairs had great quality food and was so convenient to just walk back upstairs after our meal. The entire place was very clean, smelled wonderful and was so unique and different from other stays. It was great to be able to park free right next to the hotel and also be able to walk around the town's square and out on the pier. An added bonus was the fabulous continental breakfast delivered right to our room in the morning! Would definitely recommend this guest house and stay here again.

The frontage of this stunning hotel hides the incredible style & comfort inside. It’s absolute brilliant. Gorgeous crisp white high quality bed linen, excellent bathroom /shower/ fluffy white towels, very comfy bed. Every single fixture & fitting is the highest standard. Dinner was extremely good & all the staff were superb.

This small quaint bed and breakfast gave an old timey feel. My room over looked the courtyard which is a magnificent view during the Christmas season. It was clean and had everything needed for a stay including tea and biscuits. The staff are all wonderful and treat you as family. I would also stay here again. Thank you SUGAR BOAT STAFF!

Central, newly refurbed, car park nearby, good value only downsize is that it said it was dig friendly but the cost is £30 per night per pet, so dog slept in the car...

We stayed at Sugar Boat for two nights and had a wonderful experience! We had booked a family room (for three people) and had the top floor to ourselves. A beautiful room, plenty of space for us, very nicely furnished - lovely colours, comfartble beds, tea and coffee facilities. Beautiful and modern bathroom. Breakfast in the restaurant was also very nice - good food and nice and friendly staff! We felt most welcome, and hope to come back at some point.

We found an unexpected gem in Helensburgh. The staff was friendly and helpful. The flat above the restaurant was spacious, clean and very modern. It also had a nice view of the square. It was a bit of a climb with a large suitcase but that was the only negative. The truly outstanding discovery was the restaurant. Both the dinner and the breakfast (the latter included with the room) were extraordinary. Also, the owner Will was a gracious host. As well, they gave us complementary drinks as " compensation " for being above the restaurant on DJ night. Highly recommended.

New modern accommodation, easy parking next to the building, convenient for restaurants and water front. Had a lovely experience, the breakfast was fantastic, the staff were excellent friendly knowledgeable and very help, this made our stay very relaxing and enjoyable.
