ホテル カトルカ 1905

Was off to a rocky start. The room configuration made half the bed inaccessible. Hotel was sold out so when spoke to owner by phone and she did not care just told us that we would be charged. Another owner came to show us that is was possible to split the beds past the steel beam. Still had to step over the beam every time. Once reconfigured it was acceptable but not enjoyable

We stayed for five nights. Our arrival was miserable. We drove from Split. Our intention was to arrive by 8pm, but due to some delays, we arrived at 9:30pm. The reception had left at 9pm. The front door was locked. There was a note: call a local number to gain entry. Being from Canada, we tried to avoid costly cellular roaming fees and were travelling with data only (eSIM). So we couldn’t call the number. After trying to contact the property via Expedia (which failed), we finally enabled roaming (expensive), and were able to speak to the property and they talked us into locating keys in a lock box. The room we got was room 7…one of three attic rooms. We had to lug our suitcases way up to an attic level…the stairs were not lighted…and we finally, using the phone’s flashlight, were able to enter the room. This room was built between roof trusses and beams. To get into the beds required climbing over wooden beams while avoiding hitting one’s head on a slanted wall/ceiling. Accessing one bed required climbing under a steel rod while climbing over a wooden beam. Quite dangerous and not acceptable in terms of safety. We stayed in this room for the first night but insisted that we receive a better room. We moved into room 2, not an attic room, for the last four nights. Note…the photos of the attic room skillfully manage to conceal the hazards. The lower level room was much better. It was nice, but there weren’t enough places to stash belongings/towels, but it was clean & tidy

Everything was great, but the room, évent it was charming, has a lot of beams and attics (slopes in the ceiling) so we had to be careful not to Hurt ourselves. Beside that, it was clean, cute, at 20 minutes by foot to the central place, the man who welcomed us was kind, proactive, and helpful. Moreover, the breakfast was included in the prices of the room.

Area around the hotel seemed very pleasant. Bus stop to town centre is a 5 min walk. I was allowed to leave my bag at the hotel before check-in time so I could go and explore the town centre luggage-free( just call the hotel when you arrive). Breakfast was included (not a huge choice though) staff were very helpful and polite. I was really impressed by the room. The room was very big and bright and had a small kitchen/dining area too.

Was a great little hotel and the staff were great. Wee bit out of the city in the student area, 20 min walk to centre

Stayed in a triple room which was spacious for the three of us. The room and bathroom/shower was very clean. Having a kettle, safe and small fridge in the room were an added bonus. The hotel is located in a very pleasant and quiet area of the city near Tivoli Park. Really enjoyed visiting the local fast food restaurant 'UFO' just around the corner from the hotel.

Las habitaciones no se parecen a las fotos, nos dieron una habitación que parecía un ático, con tablones de madera en medio de la habitación que hacían muy difícil caminar un techo muy bajo, un olor feo en le baño, la regadera de un tamaño muy pequeño, lo único bueno es la atención de la recepcionista con una excelente actitud

Located two blocks from the bus, very convenient to visit downtown.

The young lady at check-in was a delight. Being close to Tivoli Park was an unexpected plus.

Bon hôtel malgré beaucoup de difficultés à se connecter au wifi. Parfois même impossible toute la soirée. Très bon accueil à l’arrivée et au départ. L’hôtel est situé dans une zone calme où nous avons pu stationner sans problème notre voiture. On rejoint très rapidement le centre ville à pieds.

The hotel was really nice: very friendly staff and nice room. There is quite a nice walking distance for the center.

We had a triple room which was very big and quiet, stay 7 nights, we had very good sleep every night. Although the breakfast was very basic, that's we have everyday at home and it's provided without any extra charges. There are a few bus stops nearby, can take you to the town center and train station.

I nice small and really yellow hotel. Bed ok, not so firm pillows and quilt ok. Small bathroom but does it job, maybe change the shower head. Information about hotel not correct, the bar and restaurant are not open. Only breakfeast and that covers your basic need. Not for breakfeast people that need full intercontinal breakfeast. Little bit outside city center, but just 5 min walk to bus. Very easy to use, buy a card for 2€ and fill it up. Each trip cost 1,3€. Reccomend it for younger people and couples. They will open the bar and restaurant again. But still suffering from the after shock from Covid. Staff is great!!

Great family stay! Close to the park and old town area. The room was clean and roomy and we had our best nights sleep in Eastern Europe. I would not hesitate to book again and the restaurant had some great local cuisine!

Nice hotel. Easy location and walk from bus station and city center. Breakfast was nice and simple. Lovely staff. Bar and restaurant attached, so that was convenient.

Not quite what we expected. Our room was fine but the hotel restaurant is used by students from the nearby university as a cafeteria so it wasn't a particularly relaxing place, especially with constant background music and streaming videos on a large screen. Younger travelers may find this more acceptable. The reception desk was only manned intermittently but there was limited free parking space and the residential neighbourhood around the hotel felt safe.

The Katrca is within a short walk of the city centre and also convenient to buses. The hostess was very helpful to us getting bus passes and finding our way around. The room was small but comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet was very good and there was a choice of indoor and outdoor eating areas. We will definitely stay there again if we return to Ljubljana.

Vi skulle have en enkelt overnatning, på vej til Kroatien, og fandt dette hotel. Det var en god oplevelse. Rent og pænt i rolige omgivelser, og 10 min. gang til centrum. Pænt, rent og stort værelse. hyggelig gårdhave.
