Slow to sort out an air conditioner issue which resulted in me having to move rooms. No apologies or assistance given

This hotel is in a great location if you want to visit Melkbosstrand, which in itself is a great area to visit in Cape Town. The hotel is modern and about 500m to the beach and restaurants. Things lacking… no wine opener to open a bottel of wine for 3 nights… apparently there is only one person who has one and they were off on the weekend… shower door doesn’t close so bathroom floor is very slippery… chair in room broken… no generator so during load shedding, no lights/tv/etc in rooms. The eco light bulbs last around 45min… then darkness… No ambience in restaurant… Things on menu not available… prices Do not match… Staff very helpful and friendly. If more management/owner attention to this hotel, think it can be an exceptional property and stay.

Clean but bed was very hard and hotel was noisy.

Ended up here by default, stay was good but when I phoned they said breakfast wasn’t included in my room so had to eat else where. Upon check out I was asked why I didn’t eat the breakfast as it was included by another staff member. Was also asked to pay the balance of my stay even though it had been paid in full by hotels.com. Not a bad hotel, but probably won’t stay again.

No ADA accessibility. Elevator floor does not meet lobby floor. Elevator very small. Walked into room shocked to find twin beds in a small room. Bathroom has not handle on the door, had to use fingernails to open door. Bathroom small with tiny shower with a dispenser for shampoo that falls off every day. Bed was surprisingly comfortable. Patio right next to the beach was sweet. In an area that is very accessible to Walgreens and dinner options with reasonable prices. Overall, it was not too bad, but the first impression was shocking!

It was a great stay! The staff is very friendly and helpful and the hotel is nice and quiet despite the busy time of year.

Staff are very helpful and friendly and go above and beyond to make you happy. The prices are very reasonable and the food is good. Was sad to leave and will recommend to all of our friends and return here on our next trip.

We enjoyed our stay at Atlantic Beach Hotel. It is a cosy boutique hotel with only 38 rooms. That is why the hotel is quiet even it is full. The staff is very friendly and helpful and we felt like we were home. The Belon restaurant in the hotel prepares sumptious meals and we had dinner in the hotel, even when there are a few populat restaurants in the vicinity.

Hotel lässt eine klare Direktive des Managements gegenüber den Angestellten vermissen. Teils wird gegen eigene Hausregelungen verstoßen: Hotelfremde Personen im ohnehin schon viel zu kleinen Poolbereich, andererseits ruft die Rezeption nachts um 10:00h auf dem Zimmer an und fragt,. ob alles in Ordnung sei. Dass der Gast vielleicht schon schläft, oder seine Ruhe haben will, bedenken die manchmal nicht. Auch ist eine klare Linie in der Küche nicht zu sehen: mal ist das Buffet hervorragend, an anderen Tagen werden Wurst und Käse vom Vortag aufgetischt. Salami mit dunklen Rändern und komplett vertrocknetem Schinken hinzulegen ist ebenso wie trockener und bereits stinkender Käse ein "No Go". Die Angestellten sind immer sehr freundlich und bemüht, aber man hat manchmal das Gefühl, sie sind noch in der Probezeit und verlieren aus den Augen, was von ihnen als Hotelangestellte/Restaurantbedienung erwartet wird.

Das Hotelpersonal war sehr bemüht.

What fabulous staff! Any hotel that is clean and pretty and has staff equiped with a sense of humour is a prefect combination. Will return again.

Large airy spacious and well equipped rooms. Restaurant staff are friendly helpful and have amazing sense of humour. Only dissappointment was that the hotel is not right on the beach.

Upon arrival, there was some confusion about our booking. We finally went up to the room, but it was not seaview as was booked. The manager said they would resolve. We had a drink and after about an hour was told that we now had a revamped seaview twin rather than the queen we booked. We were promised a discount, but having booked through hotels.com, this was a challenge and we settled on free drinks (which we had at the bar while waiting!) Breakfast next morning was a disappointment. The buffet selection was very poor. Only 1 type of processed cheese as a cheese selection and 1 type of processed ham for cold meat. The hot breakfast was bland and poorly prepared.
