Location great but maintenence of rooms very poor. Aircons didnt work in rooms in a humid and hot place like durban.

At 312 room AC is sound, no refrigerator and remote is not working for tv. Please fix it soon as possible thanks

The room,a suite, initially looked great with a nice sized balcony etc. However in time we discovered that 1. The door did not lock from the inside 2. The shower was left in a disgusting state. Obviously they were cleaning the drain, did not close it up and it was filthy and the cleaning team should have sorted it out,so we were unable to use the shower 3. Despite the hotel providing a large complimentary water bottle, there were no water glasses. 4. There were no towel rails/place to hang towels up. 5. There was no top sheet which we like instead of just a hot heavy duvet However,the maintenance team was excellent and fixed the issues we reported efficiently.

My first time visiting Durban and what an adventure it was! The hotel was in a great location, it was immaculate and the food was so good. i really enjoyed interacting with the staff as well.

This is not my first stay and i will be returning, i enjoy staying here, the room and bathroom is very clean with a great size shower.

Great property, location and views.

The room is lovely. The place is great. Beautiful views. Very affordable. Breakfastwas average. However, i didnt like that the toilet was in shower. Like literally in the shower. It got wet when i took a shower. Very uncomfortable and untidy. Also didnt like that navigating the parking area from reception is hard.

I was throughly impressed by my entire stay at this hotel. World class luxury interior decor, absolutely delicious restaurant, excellent service at the bar, extremely kind and attentive staff, breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean and downtown Umhlana, very comfortable and spacious rooms, great pool with view. Having traveled worldwide and stayed at luxury hotels on several continents, I can say that no one will be disappointed by this hotel. Tremendous value for very cheap costs.

overall great service but I was booked in a room with an interleading door (locked) but the sound travelled through the door allowing me to heard everything my neighbor was up to

The hotel is rated 4 stars and is worthy of the rating. It is an upscale hotel. Parking is on the same floor as your room with easy keyed access. As most hotels in Umhlanga they do have some noise from street racers with noisy exhausts. The hotel is on the quiet side of Umhlanga ridge. The restaurant is good with four star pricing. Personally I missed a small refrigerator in the room. Also typical of South African hotels nowadays they do not run hvac systems which did not matter much during my June visit. Options for food are limited to the on site restaurant or you have to take a ride to the Umhlanga strip about 2 Km away or the fast food outlets in and around the Gateway centre about 1.5 Km away.
