Very relaxing setting. Nice change from tourist areas. No TV in the room was a good thing. Rooms were very clean and very well decorated. Linch and dinner are.served at the hotel as the town has few dining options. Meals were very good.

It's a lovely place, full of history and nicely refurbished and well kept. The staff are super friendly and you feel among friends. It's very relaxed and the feeling would be Zen, but unfortunately when there is a larger group of people in the courtyard talking vividly, the serenety of the whole place suffers slightly and the noise can be heard in the rooms. Rooms are converted cells which make them an awesome experience but are not for the claustrophobic and the doors and windows are tiny. But it's an awesome experience the whole place. The pool area is truly stunning. Wow! I loved it.

Hospitalidad y amabilidad desde el primer segundo. La recepcionista nos mostró las instalaciones del hotel a la vez que iba contándonos la historia de este, servicios del hotel y celebraciones que se daban allí entro otras cosas. Disponía de un patio central con una fuente y una segunda planta.En este podías descansar, leer o meditar, sólo se escuchaba el agua de la fuente. La segunda planta disponía de camas que podías utilizar sin necesidad de dar un previo aviso de su uso. La habitación era antigua pero muy cuidada, estamos hablando de un convento de ahí su antigüedad. Todo cuidado al más mínimo detalle. En la habitación disponíamos de velas aromáticas para hacer más agradable nuestra estancia. Un baño limpio y correcto, con todos los servicios que puede tener un baño. Los productos para la higiene personal son naturales con un aroma muy agradable y con propiedades beneficiosas para la piel. Tanto los textiles de cama, alfombras y sillones como los de baño (toallas de cuerpo, manos, pies...) tenían una calidad óptima. Reservamos para ir a cenar al salón, muy tranquilo y cómodo con un servicio atento y cercano. Comida "casera" con texturas, sabores y aromas exquisitos. En la mañana desayunamos de nuevo en el salón y la calidad en el servicio y los alimentos seguía estando presente. Zumo natural recién exprimido, café recién hecho, (servido en cazos, espectacular), bollería artesanal, pan de pueblo... Impecable. Mi mas sincera enhorabuena al hotel y servicio.

I am an international art dealer working all over the world with Galleries in London and Paris. La Parra is exceptional the quality of the hotel is that of a five star hotel without the price tag. The food alone is worth the journey to get there as it is positively amazing. It is run by an all female staff who make one feel that one is staying with friends. We will go again for linger next year.

Gorgeous resort in the heat of Spain’s Extremadura Region close to the Portuguese Boarder. Converted Convent has a gorgeous pool and beautiful courtyard for Breakfast and Dinner. Rooms are cosy but lights dim (in a romantic way). Sits in the middle of a tiny village surrounded by lovely hills.

Hemos estado muy bien, el hotel es muy agradable y tranquilo, bien rehabilitado manteniendo el estilo pero adaptado al hospedaje, y el servicio de personal excelente, la chica que nos recibió en recepción nos informó de la historia del convento y estuvo muy atenta y agradable siempre con una sonrisa, las otras chichas también fueron muy amables y el lugar nos encantó por la tranquilidad y la comodidad

Lugar tranquilo y agradable. Rehabilitación acorde con el espíritu del edificio. Sobria pero cuidada. Perfecto para desconectar.

Great Hotel. Rooms were great. Service was awesome. I would recommend the hotel to people who would like to relax and enjoy the pool and great service and food.

Looking for respite from the cities and found the perfect spot. La Parra was fun to walk through, not a tourist spot, just a nice small town. Convento is an amazing facility. We were among the season's last guests as they close in Nov. Great food!

Un lugar tremendamente tranquilo y bonito, ideal para relajarse pero además del restaurante del hotel no esperes encontrar en el pueblo otras opciones para comer algo. La habitación bien, rustica, sin televisión y el baño aceptable. Personal muy atento y el restaurante muy bien.

Estuvimos solo un día (y una noche) y la verdad que hemos vuelto encantados. Es una hospedería preciosa, mantiene la estructura del antiguo convento que fue pero renovada. Su blancura te hace pensar que estás en Ibiza en vez de Badajoz y la tranquilidad es absoluta. Además, el pueblo de La Parra es muy bonito para dar un paseo. Una gozada, en definitiva.
