ホテル グラン ウルトニア

旧市街にも近く、観光に便利な立地。部屋は広く清潔。部屋からの眺めはイマイチだったけど、カテドラルが見えるルーフトップバーは開放的でおすすめ。駐車場は狭いけどスペインではこれくらい普通。犬連れも可。

朝9時過ぎにロードバイクをレンタルし、近くのSt.Angels という山に登りました。戻りがチェックアウトの12:00ぎりぎりになったので、ロードバイクでホテルに戻りフロントマンに預け、私はパッキングしてチェックアウトしました。その時の配慮に感謝してます。

駅からは少し離れているけど夜は静かでスタッフも親切でした。朝食はとてもおいしくでさすが４つ星という感じでした。お部屋も広く満足です。また泊まりたいです。

Nicely appointed room that was very quiet. Mattresses might be a bit firm for some. The friendly, helpful staff was as great as they were on our previous visit 10 years ago. Great value and a short stroll from the historic district.

It was a building site at ground level. €270 for two nights. Room's small, and quite basic. Relatively quiet at night.

Location was excellent a few steps from the main square and the park. Everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was well laid out with lots of options. There was some building work constructing a new entrance for the hotel but we didn't hear any noise from this. A great and comfortable stay.

Quarto, equipe e garagem

No way on God’s green earth is this a 4-star hotel maybe a 2 on a very generous day! It’s basically a fancy youth hostel they even provide plastic cups in the room for that authentic “budget chic” vibe. The rooms are like being sent down a mine dark and gloomy. We’d requested a bathtub (doctor’s orders for my ankle) and were told it was guaranteed. Guess what? Just a shower! A whole painful disappointment, literally. Apparently, they “tried calling me all Saturday” to say another room was available… yet my call log says otherwise. To be fair, the lovely female receptionist did her best to help. But the male receptionist? Oh dear. His comments about us being “from the UK” didn’t exactly warm our Irish hearts — big no-no there, lad! Over €200 a night for this? RIP-OFF BIG TIME! I was promised a refund but nothing just more like lie the phone calls , bath tub and the paid bot reviews And the icing on the cake? The smell. It hits you the second you walk in — possibly wafting in from the portable loo outside. Yikes! Even wakes you up in the morning. Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else. Girona is a lovely town just pick a hotel where you can actually enjoy your weekend instead of surviving it.

There are two hotels here - the 4 star ‘Gran’ Ultonia and the regular 3 star Ultonia. I paid for a Gran Ultonia room but realised after the first night I’d been placed in a regular Ultonia room. Not the end of the world but no real point in paying for the nicer hotel and room since it seems you can end up in a more basic room anyway.

Room itself was very large with 2 full bathrooms. I would have given it 5 stars but there is some renovations going on so it wasnt perfect. Staff was pleasant, breaky also quite good. Great value over all. Cheers
