エクスペディアで3ヶ月前に予約したはずが、到着してみると、ホテル側は予約を確認しておらず、さらに空き部屋もないとのこと！ホテルスタッフの感じは悪くはなかったですが、完全にホテル側のミスで急に宿無しになってしまいました。ホテルのボスと直接電話で話して別のホテルを用意してもらいましたが、中心地からかなり離れ、近くにレストランもなく、更に水シャワー！今回は英語の堪能な友人との旅で、私もその友人も潔癖でもないので、事無きを得ましたが、二度とこんなことがなければ良いなと思います。

建物は歴史的古さを感じるが、清潔感あり。エアコン付きでないところを予約していたが、エアコンがある部屋が空いていたので、変えてもらった。電話は繋がりにくい。スタッフはフレンドリー。

Cold welcome drink by the hotel was very nice because of tropical climate in Polonnaruwa! The hotel staff was very king and helpful. They gave advice lots of hints of sightseeing and rent a bicycle. The room was clean and big ceiling fan lowered the temperature at night. The hotel is on a side street and a little bit far from main area of the town but it's acceptable for me because of use tuktuk and bicycle!

スタッフの皆さんが終始にこやかで親切でした。オーナーも観光のアドバイスを好意的にしてくれました。部屋も広々としていて良かったです。残念な事はシャワーの下水の臭いが気になりました。まだ建設途中の様なので、きちんと出来上がったら楽しみです。

ホテルのオーナーがフレンドリーでいろいろ観光の相談にのってくれました。 設備などはそれなりですが、価格が安いし、新バスターミナルや立地も店の多い通りに近くて便利で、十分です。

Very nice chill out garden overlooking rice paddy. Extremely nice and helpful management. Very good breakfast and rice & curry buffet dinner. Easy bike ride (they rent bikes) to Museum to purchase ticket for cultural sites

Bij aanvang niet bekent dat wij zouden komen. Wel prima opgevangen door de receptioniste.

Hotel nuevo con excelente relacion precio-calidad ya que es muy barato y ofrece buenas prestaciones, es limpio y bien concebido. Pronot contara`con un restaurante.

Despite the name "Resort", it is not even close to one. This place is better for backpackers who are looking for one day stays. We had booked a family room, this was the worst experience ever. There was so many problems from the room it self to the manager who evaded responsibility. I feel really sorry for the people who work there, they are good and genuine people who are were left to take the responsibilities. Now the problems, the tv was broken and after asking numerous time to fix it nothing was done about it. the room was not equipped with a anything more than a barely working fridge. There was a smell coming from the bathroom drains, and there were holes in the ceiling. Finally, what actually forced us to leave this place was the cockroaches and bugs that came into the room. The owner's response was very sketchy and when we demanded a refund he did not even return the full amount. If you are considering to stay here...don't.

Hotel blends in nature. Clean, spacious room and slow but decent breakfast. Possibility to rent bikes and explore the sacred city.

Een prima hotel, vlakbij het busstation en het centrum, maar niet gelegen aan de drukke doorgaande weg. Met de fiets ben je binnen 10 minuten bij de ruines. Kamer was schoon, en ruim, maar mag wel een beetje onderhoud krijgen. Erg vriendelijk personeel. Een aanrader voor een nachtje (of een paar).

El hotel es bastante bueno por lo que hay en la zona. El personal era muy amable y nos prepararon una rica cena. El desayuno estaba bien.

The location is good. It is easy to find restaurants just one block away the hotel. The hotel was undergoing some renovations during our stay, but there were not many disturbances. The lobby is on the first floor, so we needed to walk upstairs. The staff was really nice. Complimentary drinks (fresh fruit juice) were given when we were checking-in. One of the staff members speaks fluent English and is really helpful, giving us information about the tourist attractions.

It was a one night stayed and that was good. The owners were very helpful and nice.

We've stayed 3 weeks in Sri Lanka and City Resort was one of our best hotel. Nearby city center, but in a remote quiet street. We stayed there 4 nights. The manager is very helpful and always try to get you discount for tuk tuk. We took a guide named Sunil who showed us the whole temple complex area. Perfect English, good knowledge and very enthusiastic about history. If you plan to see the temples, give yourself a favor, ask the manager to contact Sunil. Otherwise, you'll just see bricks and bricks and miss the whole history and beauty of the Buddha tooth :-)

Habitación muy espaciosa y limpia. Baño bonito, también espacioso y agua caliente sin problemas. A unos minutos en tuk tuk de las estaciones viejas y nuevas de tren y autobús. El personal muy atento y te intenta ayudar y orientar amablemente sobre la organización de la visita a la ciudad. Nos dejaron una habitación de cortesia para ducharnos, ya que llegamos antes de la hora de entrada.

Room is clean and spacious. The owner is very kind and always provides travel tips.

Arrived at the hotel in the morning before check inn time. Hotel was booked and paid beforehand. Met by the owner and left for a trip of the town with a plan of checking in later. When we got back we got a very poor room with noisy aircon not at all as advertised on the pictures online. This was admitted by the owner who said that the room was not the standard that was on the photos and descriptions. The owner was saying that he had not received any booking confirmation, this ended up not being true after he checked his email again and finding our booking. At this point we were told that we should have come earlier and he would have had a nice room for us then. As a compensation he said that he could relocated us to a friends hotel which was supposed to be brand new, but was in fact old, dirty and right by the main road. Be warned! Hotel has nice rooms aswell, but dont pay anything in advance! Very unprofessional hotel. Our worst experience of a 3 week trip to Sri Lanka and I hope no one else has to experience this.
