Lovely staff, clean rooms, view of Ella valley. Difficult to find, so it's best to have driver call ahead if possible. Look for the signs pointing towards Red Rock Ella,.which is next door.

Fantastic service and homemade breakfast every day. The view is amazing! And we had two great dinners at the two restaurants close by just below the stairs, so no need to get into Ella city by night.

Very peaceful. The owner and family is very nice and hospitalable. Breakfast was delicious every morning. The difficulty is getting to the property is no tuk tuk can get you there unless you pay 1,500+ rupees. You can save yourself the headache if you take the stairs. 150km of stairs. Travel light and enjoy a nice workout! If you're looking to enjoy the peaceful beauty of Ella right in the heart of the mountains this is it. Enjoy the adventure!

I booed the double bed with the balcony But they gave me a single bed in another property I am not pleased at all

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here. Staff were amazing & so welcoming. The view is incredible & breakfast was super. We can’t wait to come again!

El sitio es muy barato pero muy alejado del pueblo. Además está en las montañas pero hay pocas vistas porque hay delante arboles y otras construcciones. La Habitación estaba muy sucia y el grifo del lavabo no funcionaba. Estuve fos dias y no lo arreglaron El personal y el desayuno sí estan muy bien.

A bit long way to the centrum of Ella, and a bit up in the mountain. But I took a run to the Demodara Bridge. Very nice. Breakfast is great, tea is better than coffee though. I would come back!

No taxi driver would come to this place as road access is terrible , need urgent road repairs into access to this place Lots of incomplete properties around this place making less attractive surroundings Tons of banana trees obstructing views, requires bit of landscaping and tidy up the garden, to make more attractive, planting more flower beds and native trees make visitors smile , looks like rundown place

The view is absolutely beautiful, you are right up in the clouds surrounded by tropical plants and tea. The family that own the hotel are lovely. The room is basic but clean and perfect for a get away from it all experience. Breakfast was excellent and it was lovely to watch the tea being picked this morning from the comfort garden f my balcony. On a side note, if you are arriving by Tuk Tuk or taxi call the hotel and get them to tell your driver which way to come. There is a road right to the hotel but if your driver doesn’t know this, like mine, you will end up carrying your luggage up an extremely steep hill or up hundreds of steps. The hotel is in an elevated position so it is quite a climb with bags. The hotel are extremely helpful and can help you arrange transportation.

Firstly, the hosts are great! A nice local family run place, gives you a feel for how a local would live in Ella. The service was amazing, breakfast was delicious, all homemade!! We stayed in the top guesthouse up the hill, one thing to note if you have big backpacks is that it’s steep! But the view makes it worth it… The room itself was spacious but quite basic - no bedside tables, lamps, fridge, hand soap etc. Shower wasn’t great either, but we managed. Overall we would recommend this place for those that don’t mind living a bit adventurously and are happy for a steep 30 minute walk back up the hill from Ella!!

Fantastic service from the family. The son, mom and dad takes great care of the guests. They prepared a tasty breakfast and also cooked dinner for a friendly price. It is a real nature experience. Great hospitality, amazing view and simple living in the country side. Recommend this place to couples and smaller families.
