Great and easy check in when we arrived at the hotel. The views from the room were amazing! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

It looked nice in the photos and reviews, but when we arrived it was a complete disappointment. 1. It was not clean. 2. The power outlets were not working. 3. Most importantly, the bathroom window could not be closed and the entire bathroom was visible from the corridor. 4. We felt unsafe and left the hotel. I definitely do not recommend it. No one should stay here.

Basic place to stay, good value for the money. Great location but uphill and stairs to room are not good for older people. Staff very helpful.

Great little friendly hotel in beautiful Ella. Walking distance to town, restaurants and pubs. The hill Is a little steep to walk but if you find it hard you can get a tuk tuk for a couple of dollars. The room was clean and tidy and had a nice balcony. Staff really helpful. Totally recommend.

Kurt and Lakshmis have been welcoming since even before I arrived, helping me navigate and book my time in Ella. The hotel is stunning and well kept with beautiful balcony views. The food is amazing and the service is perfectly responsive. Highly recommend staying here though... beware the final hill ascent (100% worth it)!

The manager was absolutely great and deserves a raise!! So helpful and service minded. The rooms were good But…. This is not a place for the light sleeper or someone with difficulty walking. The area around is quite loud and the train at 5am is probably going to wake you up no matter where in Ella you’re trying to sleep. The walk to the hotel is short but really steep like REALLY STEEP. The kitchen staff is never there even though it says you can order food til 8 pm so it’s impossible to get food, you simply have to walk down the hill and up again WiFi could also be better, couldn’t attend work meetings.

Great location, driveway was steep quite steep, owner and staff very pleasant. Could use some upgrades, but generally nice place for Ella.

I had a fabulous stay at this hotel. The view from the room was stunningly beautiful. The breakfast was good and the service was friendly.

It is up a very steep hill so not for everyone and certainly not the elderly. A lot of drivers won’t go up the hill. The hotel is very basic, generally clean but in need of some TLC in places. Amazing views though of tea plantation and nice balcony. Mosquito nets over bed provided. Breakfast very basic - sufficient . Loud noise at night and goes on through the night - we didn’t get a good nights sleep - still the base was banging at 6am. They provide ear plugs but it doesn’t help.
