Everything was elegant, vibrant and colorful. Staff were ability wonderful, food was amazing and room by and large very comfortable. My only complaints (which is more of a hotel thing by in large) was that though they provided you with water bottles for your room, they were very small, and unless you were eating at the restaurants their wasn’t any sort of water fountain or filtration to pull from. Unfortunately the bar was closed for renovations so that was a no go too. Not great for dehydrated abroad travelers. We also had a problem with our room control where we couldn’t turn off the air or control the temperature making it constantly slightly too cold, even at the lowest setting. However they did provide us with a space heater that made up for it for the most part. All and all friendly and helpful staff, wonderful dining, good amenities and a beautifully catered experience, would definitely come back if I had the opportunity!

Perfect location for a first-time visit to Stockholm as it's close to all the sites, main city disctricts and transport options.
Our room was at the back of the building which proved a blessing as it was wonderfully quiet, even with the windows open. We a had a suite; it was a decent size with good clothes storage, good sound-proofing, and curtains that created a proper black-out effect - all things that sound obvious, but hotels rarely seem to get right.
What let the hotel down, in our opinion, was the service. The staff were all very friendly and polite, but just not overly helpful. We arrived well after check-in time but our room wasn't ready so we had to sit and wait with no explanation. We weren't told where any of the amenities were (spa, gym, etc). Having asked if we had been to Stockholm before ('no') there was no offer of help to explain what's around the hotel, or arrange tours, or suggest sites we might want to see while we're there.
There was confusion over whether breakfast was included in our booking - the front desk said yes, the staff in the restaurant said no - turns out it wasn't, and we paid an eye-watering SEK450 a head for a very modest buffet at the Veranda.
We didn't need housekeeping every day, but when they came we got very different service. One day we arrived back to find a lovely fruit basket, but it got taken away the next day before we'd had chance to eat most of it.
All in all, lovely big, clean, well-located hotel let down by service.

I gave this same comments directly to the Grand Hotel when they also asked for feedback:
1) despite the high nightly rates, the cost DOES NOT include the spa or buffet breakfast. Both these are highlighed prominently by the hotel, but I’m sure others like me will presume they are included. Not only are they not included, but they are a lot of money extra per day each.
2) some rooms are described as ‘courtyard or side street’. The courtyard is tiny so Inthink there is a 90% chance of getting the side street. This side street still has quite a bit of traffic, so may not be the quiet room you are anticipating. The other side of the street is an office block and the workers can see directly into your room, although net curtains are provided.
3) staff were very helpful, the hotel is spotless and in a great location.
4) We had previously stayed in a Marriott in Croatia which included buffet breakfast and spa, so it was our fault we didn’t navigate far enough into this hotel’s website to learn that these were extras at the Grand. We just assumed incorrectly that the daily rate covered them at this premium standard of hotel.

We had a delightful stay at the Grand Hotel! Our room was very elegant and kept pristine. The staff is so helpful and friendly. Emil couldn’t have been nicer! We enjoyed the breakfast buffet every morning and had a wonderful early diner at Verandan last evening before our early departure today 7/21/26. A perfect experience! 5 stars!!

Fräscht och välstädat, inget alls att klaga på. Dock fungerade inte markiserna vilket hade varit uppskattat då det var väldigt varmt på balkongen.
