Behind of train station so little bit noisy

フレディ・マーキュリーをテーマにした、様々な仕掛けが楽しいのはもちろんですが、スタッフの方々のフレンドリーで親身な対応もとてもうれしかったです。 部屋は機能的で使いやすく、清潔に保たれていました。五階の部屋からのレマン湖の眺望も素晴らしかったです。 近隣にはコープとミグロもあり、何よりもすごいのは、モントルー駅からのアクセスです。一番ホームから直結でたどり着けます。駅内のスーパーなどにもそのまま行けてて本当に便利でした。

There're noise from the railway station, even with double glass windows. The room was not cleaned daily. Check in and check out were fast.

The room was quite good. Cleaning was not very good. Towels weren’t replaced. Shower drain blocked due to hair in it. Kettle leaked but was replaced when requested. Had to request toilet paper after 2 days as it wasn’t replaced. Overall ok but cleanliness left a bit to be desired.

The hotel is near by to the train station. It is a good location But on the night you will be disturbed by train noise. Our family room is big and comfortable. The service is good too.

Half an hour wait for check in. Room not cleaned during the stay. Definitely poor and not professional service.

Easily accessible right at the end of platform 1 but guests should be informed of this prior to stay. Very slow reception staff with not much personality but reception ambience lovely with the Freddie pics & music. Standard Room was fine on 4th floor - no view although on lake side & tap was slow to drain and drains smelt a little. Coffee machine and motorised blinds were good - no AC - very soft pillows but single beds comfy and room v spacious. Shower was excellent and nice towels. Although facing the lake, trains were noisy when window opened. Breakfast wasn't worth it & pastries/bread not replenished fast enough even though it wasn't busy at all. Breakfast staff were more like security staff, too involved & keeping a close eye on guests, not v welcoming. The hot food consisted of chicken tenders/chicken sausages and streaky bacon - fresh eggs sitting out that you had to boil yourself. There were gluten & lactose free options though and the breakfast room was clean and spacious. Very hilly location though you can be at the lake in about 5 minutes. The Freddie memorabilia in the hotel was lovely but totally lacking in the bedroom - only his name on the runner - bare white walls. Hairdryer socket was in the mirrored cupboard in bathroom. Plug sockets plentiful beside the 2 single beds - no English channels on tv only BBC World News. Reception staff definitely need be more faster dealing with customers at check in.

We thought the proximity to the station would be ideal as we were travelling with suitcases, and whilst the noise from the trains didn't bother us it was the noise from the neighbourhood that was unbearable. There was a lot of shouting and screaming late into the night. Up checkin we were advised that we could purchase breakfast for CHF20 or pay on the day CHF25. We elected to see first and then pay. When we arrived we were advised that the cook was too busy to cook eggs and therefore it was just a continental breakfast. That is very expensive for a continental breakfast and we decided not to stay! Even though we reserved a double room we were originally given a twin room - normally we wouldn't object if it was a twin bed, however it was 2 single beds located on opposite sides of the room. When we complained they did change rooms but at an additional cost of CHF20 per night. We certainly won't recommend this hotel to anyone in the future.

Location is good but also too close to the railway. A bit noisy at night and can’t sleep well. Some facilities are lack of maintenance and quite dusty. Also, no air-con and quite hot even in early April. Anyway, can’t sleep well for the whole night with noise and hot room. However, staff are excellent!

3 stars is fair. I love the concept of this hotel, and the idea that staff are all students in training. The Freddie Mercury name is a big draw and I didn't find the area bad. To avoid hills, walk along the train platform & you can use escalators/lifts. Otherwise walk down the hills for shops/resturants in easy reach. Great links to public transport. The hotel misses on a few points for me, I detest carrying around something with the hotel name and my room rumber on it, this is screaming out for rooms to be robbed - with a key you don't even walk through reception. This isn't safe for me. The rooms desperately need blackout curtains, yes it has shutters and these look lovely, however they don't block light. I'm glad I wasn't staying in peak summer, with no air con either! The pillows were awful, but the beds comfortable and the whole hotel was spotlessly clean. The rooms were very basic, but I didn't mind this. I prefer this to some styles! Lastly, the T&C's of staying, that you sign, seemed very focused on items going missing from rooms. I was unhappy with this (it didn't seem standard) so left a 'do not disturb' sign on my room. When I've done this in other hotels, housekeeping will generally check if you still need anything. Even slip a card under the door, or ask you to visit reception. Here I had to ask for toilet roll and towels. Odd? Would I stay here again? Probably not - for the above reasons. There's room for improvements for sure.

Located near the train station with plenty of dining options, this hotel offers easy access to the lake, where you can enjoy a relaxing stroll along the lake.

A tribute to the great Freddy Mercury, this hotel had pictures all over the lobby giving me nostalgic memories of his music. Beyond that, the hotel is pretty new and in great condition. The staff are excellent and very helpful. My booking through Expedia didn’t show up on their end so due to availability they could only give me a lower tier room but made up with complementary breakfast. The next night they upgraded my room and gave me complementary breakfast (reg 25CHF). Loved the customer service overall. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent hotel 🏨!

As an older female, and solo traveller, I found The Freddie Mercury Hotel to be very safe indeed. Conveniently located and easily accessibleat the end of the Montreux train station platform. There are shops, a small supermarket, a pharmacy, an Irish Pub, and local bus stop within minutes minutes from the hotel. And also a lift down to the lake area beside the main road. It's a bright, spacious, modern hotel. Bright, clean, and well equipped for the traveller. I had breakfast each morning, which is buffet style, but caters for all tastes, with hot, cold, and very fresh tasty food and beverages. The dining area is always staffed, on hand if you require any assistance. The kitchen and dining area are spotless! Beds are simply luxurious. Staff are a joy to experience. They are genuinely friendly, helpful and informative. They made their job look effortless, regardless of the time of day, and gave each guest their full attention. Well done, and many thanks to them all. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Good location and parking - albeit complicated. Rooms very basic - very few plugs/ no mirror to dry hair for example/ no bedside table or even a lamp or even access to light switch ! I fell at night looking for one!!
