Lovely grounds with birds, flowers, lily pads and a gorgeous pool overlooking the lake. Staff is very helpful, breakfast is elaborate and atmosphere is peaceful. Close to airport so an prime location to recover from tiring air travel or prior to departing from Tanzania.

The AC was not working until one of the stuff had to come and fix it then the switch for charging are not safe you should all watch out their switch outlet damaged my charger completely. When I called they said they will send a maintenance personel the next day. I slept with my phone off that forced me to go and buy another charger the next day. I would say the property is over priced and their services are poor. This place used to be the best not anymore poor management I guess.

Staff very helpful. Shuttle crew/ service very good. Mr. Ali at the reception very knowledgeable and professional. Breakfast was good and very polite staff.

The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. The views over Lake Victoria were amazing too.

I was miss lead, they told me they gave me an upgrade at no cost. The next morning I woke up with 2 inches of water all over the room. I had to call to be moved to an other room, the room was the same it is not an upgrade!! It was very difficult to get a gluten free meal. Most had no idea what is gluten.

This is a beautiful venue with great food, unbelievably wonderful and welcoming staff, amazing masseuses, gorgeous pool.

This property is beautiful, quiet, and has the most amazing spa. Terrific massage. The facilities are lovely, the food is great, and the manager (Ally is his name, but I might not be spelling it correctly) is beyond belief - very attentive, thoughtful, friendly and kind. I travel through Mwanza once or twice a year, and always book a relaxing layover here for me and my groups.

-Internet connection was painful -Check in was careless and no information given -Be aware that there is a club nearby and on Fridays music is blasting till late in the night -Breakfast was poor and not fresh.

A very entertainment based property with bars and restaurants overlooking the lake. Very close and convenient to the airport.

The set up of the property is amazing but not physically friendly for challenged guests as a lot of staircase up and down and limited lifts in certain areas only.Have to improve a lot on their restaurants the food is of very poor qualities for a beautiful place like that and expensive!.

The management was as excellent as the scenery. Both are two vital points for me to return for another stay again.

Malaika is my to go to place whenever I need peace of mind.

The hospitality is above & beyond

Our son, who works in Mwanza, recommended that we stayed at Malaika. We were not disappointed. The staff were, without exception, friendly, helpful and courteous. The room was well equipped and was everything that we wanted. The dining options were excellent and the quality of the food was also very good indeed. If we ever go back to Mwanza, we would definitely stay at Malaika again - in a heartbeat.
