Blu Monkey Phi Phi Island

Property was fine for a lower budget option, like a hostel but private bathrooms. 10 minute walk to Ton Sai Pier and restaurants, bars, shopping. Front desk gal Chompu was great!

Das Hostel liegt ca 10 min vom Pier entfernt und kann gut zu Fuß erreicht werden. Im Hostel selbst gibt es Kaffee, Kakao, Kekse und Wasser umsonst. Die Zimmer sind mit einem Kühlschrank und Tv sowie Klimaanlage ausgestattet. Ein Föhn steht ebenfalls zur Verfügung nur keine Steckdose im Badezimmer. Besonders im Bad bröckeln schon die Wände.

Haben eine Stunde an der Rezeption gewartet. Nachdem wir per WhatsApp mit der Rezeption Kontakt aufgenommen hatten, kam eine reinigungskraft und meinte wir können noch nicht einchecken. Also haben wir unser Gepäck absgetelkt und sind in die Stadt. Eine halbe Stunde später war das Zimmer vor 14 Uhr fertig. Im Zimmer angekommen seht ihr anhand der Bilder wie es uns ergangen ist. Im Bad roch es noch nach aggressiven Reiniger und es war der Boden nass. Man konnte es nicht Lüften. Bei offener Tür roch das ganze Zimmer nach Chlor. Zu den Punkten auf den Bildern muss ich nichts sagen. Wir haben sofort das Hotel verlassen und sind in ein anderes Hotel. Wir wundern uns immer wieder über die positiven Bewertungen in Thailand bei den ganzen Hotels. Wir haben keinen Cent vom Hotel zurück bekommen. Wir haben für 3 Nächte gebucht.

Överlag bra ställe. Ligger på en lugnare gata. Dock väldigt lyhört.

Diese Unterkunft ist laut Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis sehr gut. Es ist sehr zentral und eigentlich nicht laut. Momentan ist nur eine Baustelle daneben, wobei in der Früh angefangen wird zu arbeiten. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Die Zimmer werden jeden Tag sauber gemacht.

I loved this place! Very small but has a lot of character. Just as seen in the pictures but don’t depend on someone to be at the front desk 24hrs.

This place was nice but there was no door in the shower which made the water go everywhere in the bathroom. No view whatsoever you’ll be staring at a wall. But ok for the value.

De var för snola, tex toa papper,dusch två, hand två nästan fanns inte. Det var väldigt svårt att kommunicera eftersom de kunde inte Englaska.

Good location, nice staff, clean rooms. Was just outside the busy area so didn’t hear much at night but was a 4 min walk to the beach.

Amara hotel is not the closest hotel to the pier therefore long walk with luggage considering the price of the hotel no help with luggage was included. Check in time 1pm, arrived 1.20 and room was still being cleaned. Problems with shower and electricity in room. Duvet thick material. Receptions English not that good so not that helpful. Quiet for two nights and noisy 3rd night due to some sort of party downstairs as reception shuts at 9pm.

We have stayed in a number of guesthouses on Phi Phi and the Amara was certainly more spacious, cleaner and comfortable. Aircon, a kettle and a fridge were standard. The room was quiet, being a little further, but not too far away, from the party beach, bar and restaurants. Nowhere is more than a 10 minute walk.

Great location, about 5 minute walk to the party beach. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Does not have an elevator/lift, not practical for all guests.

After reading countless reviews on different hotels in Koh Phi Phi and seeing how all had at least one or two reviews related to bed bugs, we decided to look for a newly built hotel. We found Amara hotel and decided to book 2 nights there in late November. Check in was pretty easy and the staff there are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in a good area close to the viewpoint and also the beach and all the night life. However, our room didn't appear to have been fully cleaned. We did not find hand soap in the room and also found a dead cockroach on the bathroom door that appeared to have been there for a few days. Also the walls behind the beds had some brown stains that they could have easily cleaned or painted over. The shower and bathroom is just a terrible design, however, that seems to be the case with a lot of places in Thailand. There is no wall or curtain separating the shower from the toilet. Every time one of us 3 showered, the whole bathroom floor was wet. WiFi was also pretty slow and unusable even though our room was right next to the lobby. Overall I would recommend this hotel if it was around the $25-30 price range, but no way is it worth the $50+ a night that we paid.
