Chintakiri Resort

Hôtel avec un emplacement et une vue exceptionnelle ! Plage à pieds moins de 5min. Chambre spacieuse et confortable avec balcon et vue sur la baie. Piscine et transats au calme avec une vue imprenable. Petit déjeuner inclus. Personnel accueillant et à l’écoute. Accès via une pente raide (ok avec un scooter 150cc ou 160cc), possibilité de laisser le scooter en bas et monter à pieds. Hôtels avec escaliers et marches pour accès aux chambres.

Cet hôtel à taille humaine est extrêmement agréable, calme et bien tenu, on s'y sent bien. L'ensemble du personnel est bienveillant et très aimable, toujours prêt à vous rendre service. La structure est propre. Les serviettes de toilette sont changées tous les jours. Les petits déjeuners sont servis à table en choisissant son menu avec une vue magnifique sur la baie. L'hôtel dispose d'une piscine à débordement (non testée) magnifique elle aussi. Souvent évoquée mais c'est bien vrai, l'hôtel est situé sur les hauteurs et donc la pente pour l'atteindre est bien raide. Pour cette raison, cette structure n'est pas adaptée aux personnes ayant des problèmes de mobilité mais aussi par rapport aux escaliers.

Small, family-run style hotel in the mountain. Decent restaurant. Very friendly staff. Great views. Far from everything, but then just like 70% of koh tao's hotels, wherever they are located. If you rent a motorbike or are willing to move across the island by taxi, you will be fine. The beach closer to this hotel is not the nicest / cleanest in koh tao. Laundry and other restaurants 5-10 min walk. They should have a shuttle service to mae haad, it would add +10 points to the overall experience. Happy nonetheless.

I loved my stay at Chintakiri Resort. The rooms are spacious with strong AC and a fan. Each room has a large balcony with an incredible view of the bay. The facilities are very nice, including a small, but very nice infinity pool with a gorgeous view. Breakfast is made to order. Every employee was friendly and so helpful. They will offer suggestions for outings and help you to book. Please note that this resort is up a very steep hill that is quite a climb (even when you are in-shape) and the resort itself is full of stairs. You must be easily mobile to stay here. And unless you rent a scooter, you will spend quite a bit of money for taxis to/from the resort ($300-$500 baht per one-way trip). As a solo female traveler I felt very safe at this resort (and on Koh Tao in general) and would definitely stay here again.

The view from the breakfast room and pool is amazing. The whole staff is nice and helpful and care about you.

I had the most wonderful stay at Chintakiri. The team who worked there were fantastic - so friendly and helpful! The views were spectacular. The rooms were simple but had everything I needed. Shower and air con were great and bed was comfy. The balcony was big and had a stunning view. Pool was clean and food was great. It was a hike to get up there though and I would recommend hiring a scooter if you do stay there. The workout to walk up is well worth what you get once you arrive!

Sehr angenehmer und ruhiger Aufenthalt. Alles war sehr sauber. Der Ausblick ist wunderschön! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

we just stayed here for over two weeks and enjoyed our stay very much. the ladies (staff) were friendly and attentive. the cabin was good with everything you'd expect from a 4 star resort. perhaps a little noisy from mopeds on occasion but that's common on KT. powerful air con. the infinity pool was great, it became a 'home base' to look forward to after a day out enjoying the island. food was standard Thai offerings, some fish options would have meant me giving 5* ratings across the board. it is up a steep hill off the main road but if you get a moped or taxis that won't be a problem. "High Bar" One (with the connotations that are implied) is right next door and good for chilling on an evening with great views.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay, yes the hill/steps are a challenge but so worth it. The rooms are simply furnished and very comfortable, with amazing views especially if you have a room at reception level or above. Shower gel, shampoo and hairdryer on request Situated close to some lovely beaches eg Shark Bay and Freedom Beach and bars and restaurants. Staff are incredibly helpful, organising taxis, a snorkel trip and even pulling out all the stoos to swiftly retriever a handbag I left in a taxi (all credit to the honesty and integrity of the lovely Thai people, I also left a pair of very good sunglasses in a bar down the hill (a bad run of losing things on my part) , and they were handed back to me when I searched the next day). Breakfast was lovely, cooked to order. Such a lovely personal, attentive service, thank you Chintakiri xx

Super hotel en hauteur, vue sur la mer, calme et tranquille. petit déjeuner varié et bon. Personnel acceuillant et disponible. Villa cosi et bien aménagé

Pretty dated but most of the Koh Tao hotels are. These are separated bungalows sitting on the side of a mountain overlooking Shark’s bay. The views are incredible. A bit of a hike up the road to the hotel so be prepared for that. Close to dive shops and great food and services. This was excellent for the price.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im Chintakiri Resort sehr genossen. Die Bungalows mit eigener Terrasse sind sehr geräumig und man hat ausreichend Stauraum bzw. Ablageflächen. Das Frühstück kann man aus verschiedenen Menüs auswählen (z.B. English Breakfast, Banana Pancakes) und auch Kaffee wird auf Wunsch gerne nachgefüllt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Um die Insel besser erkunden zu können, empfiehlt es sich, einen Roller anzumieten. Dies kann man problemlos in der Nähe der Unterkunft machen. Restaurants, Geschäfte und auch die Shark Bay sind allerdings auch fußläufig zu erreichen. Leider ist der Transfer vom bzw. zum Pier nicht inklusive. Das Personal unterstützt aber gerne bei der Organisation. Wir können das Chintakiri Resort mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen und würden die Unterkunft auch wieder buchen...

One of my favorite hotels ever, all categories. Loacted a bit up a hill it had a great view of the ocean and also the lush green trees beneath. The resort was clean and well maintained. The staff was absolutely fantastic. So helpful and kind all the time. My plan was to stay here for half my duration in Koh Tao then try living in another part of the island but I ended up extending my stay here because it was so enjoyable. Next time I go to the island there's no doubt, I'm staying at chintakiri again.

Excelente. Todo bien. Buena ubicación. Limpio. Buen desayuno. Cerca de la playa. A 5 minutos de restaurantes y otros. Tiene una subida o cuesta bien pronunciada para cuando vas o vienes caminando. Al final tus piernas te lo agradecen. Lo mejor el servicio y atención del personal. Eso hace la diferencia. Volveré

The silence the breathtaking view from our balcony. Frienly staff. I was not satisfied about how to close the door of my room, airco was not sufficient . room stay far to long hot.

The staff were really friendly, the room was nice, a very strong WiFi connection. Best bit was it wasn’t a buffet breakfast, they cooked to order. The location was good as it was easy to access things yet quiet and peaceful but not suitable for the unfit as on a very steep hill.

Hotel sur les hauteurs de l'ile, au calme avec vue superbe sur Chalok Bay. Le bungalow était spacieux, la literie vraiment très confortable et nous avons apprécié l'accueil et la disponibilité de l'équipe. Il y a un service de transport gratuit de/vers le Pier pour votre arrivée/départ, pour lequel il faut prévenir avant votre arrivée. Excellente adresse.
