Habe dort drei schöne Tage verbracht, sehr sympathisches kleines Resort am Fluss, Pool ausreichend groß, Zimmer neuwertig, Bett etwas zu hart, Frühstück ok, Wlan top, ca. 6 km ausserhalb von Kan, daher nur mit eigenem Fahrzeug sinnvoll zu buchen

alles bestens, habe den Aufenthalt dort genossen, moderne Zimmer, ruhig, netter kleiner Pool, gepflegte Anlage mit schöner Beleuchtung abends, Frühstück ganz ok, Wlan bestens, Bett etwas zu hart wie ein Futon

Sympathisches kleines Resort mit 10 Zimmern direkt am River Kwai ca. 6 km ausserhalb Kan, ruhig, ziemlich neu, schöne Zimmer, Bett etwas zu hart, Wlan einwandfrei, Frühstück ok, Pool ausreichend groß, habe den Aufenthalt genossen, sehr nette Besitzerin, spricht englisch und ist hilfsbereit mit Rat und Tat

Hôtel propre et calme !!! Propriétaire très à l’écoute des clients !!! Extérieur et piscine très bien entretenue !!! Mais un peu loin du centre !!!

It is a peaceful place with a swimming pool just by the six rooms which are tastefully designed and comfortable. Then there is a short walk down to the dining area looking down on the river. A garden resort with very good hospitality. The breakfast is basic, good food can be ordered in.

We were visiting Kanchanaburi primarily to visit the Mallika Thai cultural village and chose the Kanvela Resort on the strength of positive reviews on Trip Advisor. Most stressed the friendly service, and those reviews did not exaggerate. We crammed a lot into one full day after the proprietor helped us connect with a reasonable and responsible driver — the River Kwai bridge, a couple of caves and temples, including the gorgeous Mettatham temple, which is built out of one of the caves.... We also went to the Death Railroad bridge. The driver dropped us off at Mallika, where after exploring for several hours capped off by a traditional dinner and show, the Kanvela manager Taew drove out and picked us up (the resort is almost 20 kilometers away). She's amazing. The rooms aren't anything special, design-wise, but they're clean and functional. Our room was (like most) just off the pool. Breakfast is adequate, but the setting is very nice: right above the river. There is cable TV in the rooms, with some international channels, and Wu-Fi worked fine. At this low price, we'd definitely not hesitate to stay at Kanvela again. That and super-helpful service more than compensated for any shortcomings. (There were two of us: I'm North American; she's Thai, which made communication a bit easier, though the owner also seemed to speak fairly good English, and though her answers came in Thai to benefit my partner, she clearly understood all of my questions.

Although outside Kanchanaburi, this was a plus for us as the location was peaceful and beautiful by the river. The owner was extremely helpful and couldn't do enough for us, providing a meal when we arrived at lunchtime. The pool was just what we needed after a days sightseeing. The room was always clean and serviced every day with fresh towels provided.

Our short 3 day, 2 night stay at Kanvela Resort was spectacular! Located just a few minutes out of Kanchanaburi, this is a great base to explore the historical sites in the city, Hellfire Pass, and some of the great National Parks in the area. We live in Bangkok and stayed here while entertaining visiting family. The service was superb - we will return! This location is best suited to independent travelers that have their own transportation.

Super aardige mensen die alles doen om je verblijf tot een succes te maken. Het koppel dat het restaurant runt kookte fantastisch, het Thaise eten was een genot. Eigenaresse is uiterst behulpzaam bij het regelen van autohuur, info over activiteiten en, in ons geval, een spoed bezoekje aan het lokale ziekenhuis.

Absolutely beautiful place. Without a doubt, no matter what, this is a stunning little resort! We visited in June whilst travelling around various sites in Kanchanburi, we were amazingly surprised when checked in considering the low price! Lovely, spacious room with a king size bed, modern and good condition. The best thing about this resort however was the staff, all of which couldn't do enough for you and made myself and my girlfriends visit so easy and enjoyable. Dow, the manager, was genuinely one of the frienliest people we have ever met, we asked her about how getting a taxi to the bridge over River Kwai and Erawan waterfalls and for a 1000tb each she personally drove us to the bridge, hellfire pass (she suggested) and then the 30km journey to Erawan, waited for us in each (spent 3 hours in Erawan) and drove us back to resort. Such a friendly person who we were so grateful for as she made visiting Kanchanburi so easy. Will return to Kanvela without a doubt!
