3,5 Sterne (Preis-Leistung) großzügig aufgerundet weil das Personal wirklich sehr sehr lieb und bemüht war und man ein umweltfreundliches Konzept hat. Man zahlt i. W. für die Lage auf der Insel - eine "villa" ist es aber nicht. Wir hatten einen 'beachfront' bungalow, einfach und sauber allerdings etwas zurück versetzt mit blick auf die Massage Hütte und einen anderen bungalow. Das bad war sauber und großzügig. Das Frühstück war basic, aber ok. Wer nach zehn kommt findet das was übrig ist. Eierspeisen konnten a la carte bestellt werden. Das offene Restaurant ist wirklich sehr hübsch, gegessen haben wir dort allerdings nicht (außer Frühstück). Tip top: es gibt thermosflaschen, die kostenlos mit gekühltem Wasser befüllt werden können!

Lovely stay in paradise with the beach just outside the bungalow.

We really liked Mayalay resort. It is simple but clean and right at the beach. The beach mest the Hotel was the best part of the beach on Koh Ngai. The staff was very friendly and we could book one extra Night. The breakfast was ok and you could order some single dish if you liked. There was not no many vegan or vegetarian options for breakfast. The food on the resort was good. We want to go back!

Excellent excellent excellent - super freindly staff. Very clean and cosy bungalow. The perfekt spot to relax and get away from your every-day life.

Bästa läget på stranden, enkla men rena och städade bungalows. Toalett och dusch fungerade fint i luftig miljö. Matsedel och frukost var ganska liten men omelett och det vanligaste fanns. Fantastiskt snorkling utanför hotellet på ganska grunt vatten.

Yksinkertainen resortti, siistit bungalowit ilman erityis mukavuuksia. Saaren paras ranta suoraan edessä.

The beautifull beach and nice and friendly staff made up for some of the issues we have about this hotel. However, I am sad to say that we were very disappointed with our stay. The bed was bad and the pillows (even the new ones we asked for) was hard and smelled strange. The cabin are in no means luxurious (hols in the wall and in the mosquito net and damp overall smell) neither is the breakfast. The cabin as well as the overall resort looks old and and needs a serious update. To be fair we had the worst cabin on the resort, which was maybe just us being unlucky as there were plenty other cabins available. Overall, I think you can do much better in Koh Ngai for even a cheaper price.

Would highly recommend. Best part of the beach and fewer bungalows than other places on the island therefore less crowded. Worth paying the extra for a Seaview, gorgeous view and beach at your doorstop. Great food and excellent cocktails, would love to stay again!

Hôtel en ruine !!! Une honte, les photos présentées doivent dater de la construction et aucun entretien n'a été effectué depuis. Le petit déjeuner est en dessous de tout, les jus de fruit sont fait à base de poudre et je ne vous parle même pas des confitures et du miel colonisés par divers insectes ! A éviter à tout prix !!!

This place is well-relaxed on the beach. Enjoy the nature. Staff is service minded.

Wir haben uns in Mayalay Beach Resort auf Koh Ngai sehr gut erholt. Die Leute sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Anlage ist sehr schön, ruhig und sauber. Sie hat nur 19 Hütten. Schöner Strandabschnitt vor dem Hotel. Unser Erholungsurlaub war rundum perfekt. Wir wollen wiederkommen!

The island is lovely and the hotel is nice although in need of a little TLC in parts. We had a great time, the only shame was the amount of plastic rubbish on the beach, yoghurt pots, water bottles etc. It washes up on the beach overnight, which is a shame in itself but can’t be helped, but the hotel staff don’t seem to take the time to clean the beach. I picked up the rubbish whenever I saw it, and it’s a shared responsibility, but I do think the hotel could do more to maintain the beach as it’s the main selling point for staying here.

Positivt: väldigt vacker miljö och trevliga omgivelser, mysigt ställe med snäll och tillmötesgående personal, väldigt bra strand utanför hotellet, avslappnad atmosfär, exotiskt och vackert, bra storlek på bungalows Negativt: lite för enkel standard för priset, mycket mygg, tog väldigt lång tid i restaurangen, frukosten enkel, dyra tilläggstjänster såsom massage och resa med hotellets longtail båt, wi-fi enbart i lobbyn (men det fungerade bra), bungalows har åldrats en del och stämmer inte helt med bilderna
