The resort is located in a beautiful spot. It’s quiet and not on the Main Street which was nice. Had a beautiful view and pool. One complaint we had was that the water isn’t safe to drink and they only provided 2 very small water bottles of drinking water per room and it took an act of god it felt like to get more… we have stayed at plenty of resorts where they provide filling stations or unlimited water bottles of water, also we had to pay for water at the pool, no good. Another complaint is that the towels for the pool were very thin and small.

Awesome location, great quiet getaway with outstanding staff

Loved staying at Phutawan, the staff was amazing, a huge thank you to Aicha for always making sure that everything goes smoothly and sorting out everything we needed , she exceeded our expectations. Def booking Phutawan when I’m in Railay :)

AMAZING, would recommend everyone to stay here. It is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. The free breakfast is so good, the staff are all so friendly and helpful, the pool is phenomenal. The rooms, walkways, bathrooms are all extremely clean. Very quiet and relaxing. The walk into town takes about 5-10 mins. There is a slight hill that I walked up barefoot with my backpack but there is a free shuttle the resort provides that goes into town and will pick you up from town.

Property was clean, staff was friendly and atmosphere from the pool was breath taking! would definitely go back again and would recommend to anyone.

Leider nicht das, was wir erwartet haben. Generell ist das Hotel in einem sehr schlechten Zustand und müsste dringend umfassend renoviert werden. Keine Empfehlung.

We stayed 2 nights in the entry level room. The room was traditional in design, a good size, great aircon, very comfortable bed and had all the expected amenities, including free water refills each day. The staff were all friendly. We ate in the restaurant one night - good food at a reasonable price, though they struggled to serve the food promptly, which seemed to upset some other diners. Breakfast options were good. Nice pool with great view of the surrounding forest area and huge rock, and it was interesting to watch brave people attempting to climb this. The pool area needs more sun beds though we did get a bed on the lower terrace. Bathrooms could do with an update. The tuktuk was very useful and we used it to get our luggage up and down the hill. The walk down to the shops and beach was ok, past the cave, though the monkeys were best avoided and were happy to take any food off you without asking!

The property was very nice. We were lucky to have a balcony with a view. Some of the rooms did not have a view or a balcony. Pool was nice. It is located at the top of the hill so a bit of a climb. It is easy to walk to beach and to restaurants.

Terrible service. The room had a lot of bugs and everything seemed very poorly done.

Ein absolut fantastisches Hotel mit unglaublich nettem und hilfsbereitem Personal! Die Lage ist traumhaft – umgeben von Bergen, Palmen und Bananenpflanzen bietet das Resort eine spektakuläre Kulisse. Wir hatten ein schönes Zimmer im Haupthaus, allerdings war das Bad nicht ganz modern, und ein Fenster hatte einen Spalt, durch den Licht und kleine Tiere hereinkamen. Das Resort bietet einen Shuttle-Service an, der einen zuverlässig zur vollen Stunde ins Zentrum bringt und wieder abholt. Super praktisch! Die Kommunikation per WhatsApp war top – alle wichtigen Infos wurden uns direkt geschickt. Das Frühstück war großartig, mit frischen Eierspeisen, verschiedenen Brotsorten, warmen Speisen und viel Obst. Ein paar Kleinigkeiten könnten verbessert werden: Unser Welcome Drink im Zimmer wurde leider einfach weggeschüttet, und es wurden manchmal kleine Handtücher bei der Zimmerreinigung vergessen. Zudem ist das Hotel recht hellhörig. Trotzdem ein wundervoller Ort, den wir jederzeit wieder besuchen würden! Tipps: • Restaurants: Besonders empfehlenswert ist das Mangrove Restaurant im Zentrum – super leckeres Essen, von Pad Thai bis Mango Sticky Rice. • Strände & Ausflüge: Railay West Beach ist morgens perfekt zum Schwimmen, abends gibt es einen tollen Sonnenuntergang. Die Phra Nang Cave sollte man früh besuchen – traumhafte Kulisse!

Gorgeous view of water bellow. Excellent breakfast buffet. Staff very pleasant and accomodating. Short walk to main village but it is uphill coming back to the hotel and a bit of work. There is a complimentary shuttle that runs hourly in both directions.

Absolutely fantastic experience! The room was spotless, spacious, and super comfortable. The food was outstanding, especially the breakfast buffet. Loved the pool. Perfect location as well—highly recommend! 👌✨
