The resort itself is nice and there are many attractions in the resort. However, it is not located close to the downtown and there are no free shuttle buses to airport. The food is very expensive in the resort.

Disappointing Experience at a Supposed Luxury Resort I left Grand Hyatt Baha Mar disappointed. For a property that markets itself as a luxury destination—and with nearly $100 per day in resort and service fees—I expected a much better guest experience. The resort charges mandatory daily resort and service fees, while advertising amenities such as pool and beach seating with umbrellas. Every morning felt like a race to find an available lounge chair with an umbrella, despite paying those additional fees. Housekeeping often didn’t arrive until around 5:00 PM, which made it difficult to relax in the room during the afternoon. I was also surprised there was no stocked minibar, something I would expect at this price point. The $55 breakfast buffet was simply overpriced for what it offered. Even more frustrating, the resort made little effort to enforce quiet in areas designated for adults. Those spaces frequently felt just as noisy and crowded as the family pools, defeating their purpose. The grounds are beautiful, but great scenery alone doesn’t justify the premium pricing. Between the overcrowding, inconsistent service, and lack of attention to the guest experience, this stay fell well short of the luxury experience that both the resort and Expedia led me to expect. I would not return, and I would encourage travelers to carefully consider whether the cost matches the value they receive.

Just returned from a wonderful staff. The resort has everything you need. At times we got lost but the signage was well displayed around the hotel. Staff was very helpful. There is something there for everyone.

Our room was very clean. We really enjoyed the ocean view and when we would go out for the day and return to our room, it was cleaned very well. The staff was very good. However, we did have two unpleasant experiences. One was when we were at vibe barbecue and I requested a blue Hawaiian non-alcoholic drink. The bartender got angry and was saying that he was not able to make it and became upset with my request and the other staff members that were there noticed it and immediately came in to help me get what I wanted, and they were very friendly, and I am very appreciative of them, stepping in and taking care of the situation. Also, as we were checking out, our taxi driver up, charged us for the drive to the airport when the sign clearly said $29 he immediately told us it was $40 the second we pulled off and was very rude. It was not a problem we were going to tip him anyway, but in the manner that he said it was very cold and unfriendly but overall our stay at the resort was very nice and we really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it.

Not like it was 4 years ago but still nice. Room always not as well kept and found makeup on the counters. Power kept going out on our last night. Casino and food were good. Plenty to do and keep the family busy. 3.8 out of 5

Unbelievable. We have been coming to the grand Hyatt since the very beginning when they open 2017 it is the most unbelievable resort we keep coming back. We literally love the people in the hotel. Everyone is so friendly we have made super close friends it’s just a great place to be.

Only the beach was the best part the place it's boring in the night no entertainment, the only thing is the casino. Expedia usually don't have hiding fee but this time it wasn't clear get charged more than i was expected for resort fees , and hold $200 for each night in my card I wasn't aware... I found myself using a different credit card for dinning that wasn't my plan 🙃

Great experience !! Keeps getting better

The hotel was OK just please make sure that you make reservations for dinner early or beforehand because it was packed. Also, just a heads up the water in the shower smells like sewer in those things it was OK.

This was our third time here because we had such a great experiences the first two times, this time was a little different. We experience at least 4 power outages, the first one we were stuck in the elevator for about 5 minutes unable to call out. We didn’t have bad weather at the time of the outages. My husband was sick for much of the trip from something he ate from Pizza Lab. While the cleaning staff were very nice, there doesn’t seem to be quite enough staff to accommodate the crowds of people. We had to ask to have our room cleaned and also get news towels which weren’t provided daily. Our kids loved the water park and the surf simulator. We had a wonderful dinner at Shang Ba, Cleo and also Carne. We greatly miss the Filia Italian restaurant, the new Leola wasn’t a good meal, and was very expensive. Luke and other bell hops at the main entrance were very friendly along with outdoor maintenance crews. Blackjack dealer Stephanie was super friendly and pleasant.

They charged me $632 on my invoice when I paid for NOTHING on room charge. I tried calling to see why I was charged and cant even get a hold of anyone there. They pick up transfer you and then hang up on you. This happened twice. Very frustrating and unprofessional service. Also everything is ridiculously expensive. I spent $2500 on food and drinks there alone in 6 days. Be prepared to spend a fortune to eat basic pasta and burgers. There life guards on duty are not alert. Your kid can legit drown in a corner and they probably wouldn't notice. This isn't Disneyland. They don't follow the same regulations. You sign a waver when you walk in. Best of luck
