ホテル・ル・ブーゲンビリア

Insgesamt war die Unterkunft angenehm, sauber und sicher. Es wäre aber noch besser, wenn das Hotel nicht von einer Strasse geteilt wäre, und es mehr als nur zwei Fernsehsender geben würde. Das Personal war immer freundlich und hilfsbereit.

First of all, the Hotel is not even in the location it claims to be, We followed with the Uber Maps and Even using google maps and we could not find it. We even asked the People nearby the location it was mentioning and they were not familiar with it. We called the number showed on their Website and on the Expedia site and they were all saying Line not available. Finally when we found it, it was 8.2KM from its mentioned place on the map. Here is where all the problems started. The hotel was in a location that was NOT secure and friendly. Even the taxi driver wondered why I am going to stay there. Now when I entered the hotel to check in, I was told to wait for a while as check-in starts at 1pm.(I arrived their around 12:40pm) This was weird, but I accepted. When I asked to see the rooms,they showed me a room that was a still smelling of cigarettes smoke. When I complained about this, they offered me another room. In this room, the smell of dust was present and it did not appear clean at all. Their response to this was that if I needed another room, then the type of room needed to be upgraded and I had to pay more. When I tried to take photos, they completely refused. Now lastly, the restaurant where one is supposed to have breakfast and dinner is across the road. A busy road that has a lot of traffic.

This place would be a museum if it weren't so comfortable and homey. It's a beautiful oasis of calm amidst the chaos of Kampala. I love the architectural details: staircases, doors, furniture, etc.
