I usually don’t write reviews, but this stay was so disappointing that I felt compelled to share.
From the moment we arrived, the experience was frustrating. We were only informed of parking charges and additional taxes at check-in—nothing was disclosed beforehand. Then there were issues with their card reader. The front desk kept insisting my card was declined, even though it was perfectly valid. It only worked after they switched to a different computer, but the whole situation was stressful and unprofessional, especially when I was asked to confirm that the names on my ID and credit card matched exactly.
The rooms weren’t any better. The first room had no hair conditioner and very low shampoo and body wash. The second room had no shampoo or body lotion at all. We only discovered this while showering, which made the situation even more frustrating. When we called the front desk for help, we were told they were “off the clock,” and no one came to assist.
As for the water situation—there was only one bottle of water to begin with in one of the rooms, and we later found out there’s a $3 charge per bottle, even for Honors members. That detail wasn’t disclosed until checkout.
Overall, the service was poor, the amenities were lacking, and the communication was non-existent. My husband, in-laws, and I were extremely disappointed. We will not be staying at a DoubleTree again.
