Graduate by Hilton Oxford

The property is super dated and needs a complete overhaul! Only reason we stay there is location, location, location!

The hotel was cool and unique and had a great vibe, however that is all I can say that is positive about our stay. My husband, two daughters (18 and 10) and I drove 10 hours on a Sunday and arrived just before 5pm - check-in at the hotel is 4pm. We were exhausted and wanted nothing more than to freshen up before heading to meet some new friends for dinner. Well, our room wasn't ready, we were told maybe 30 minutes. That turned into at least 90 mins

This visit, unfortunately, missed so many marks. We were in town for our daughter's college orientation, which I know can be a busy time for Oxford, so we tried to overlook most things. For starters, our room was not ready until 8:00pm on our check in day. After a flight and long drive, this was disappointing. We tried to pass the time at The Coop. The service was pretty non-existent and we had to continuously get up and ask the bartender for things. Only one server, who seemed new to the job, was not helpful. And accidents happen, but the server dropping ketchup on my husband while clearing plates was the last straw. We were guests for three nights and not once was our room cleaned. No less than three requests at a time had to continuously be made for additional towels, toilet paper, etc. A family staying without at least every other day of cleaning services isn't acceptable. The garbage and used towel collection overflowed for days! Given the cost of the rates at this hotel compared to the level of service, I can only assume the higher rates are based on the hotel's location. I hope this is not typical and just an unfortunate circumstance for us.

We had stayed here previously and enjoyed the property so we were looking forward to our return trip. We were very surprised to check in and find there is now a $30 per night parking fee that went into effect after our booking. The hotel also ran out of towels so we had to share bath towels.

Our check-in time was 4 PM. Rooms were not ready until after 6:30 PM. Had to ask the front desk three separate times for an update on our rooms. Each time I was told I would be given an ETA but no one ever followed up.

I love the Graduate

I have stayed here many times and have enjoyed my previous experiences. This property has been purchased by Hilton and have started making changes. Perhaps the one I find most objectionable is the parking policy. Although Hotels.com and Expedia both state "free parking", they have started charging $15 a night for unsecured parking. Its not valet parking. It is self parking in the same lot that's has been free parking for guests for a decade. I showed the web site and the check-in clerk said they havent updated their website. After multiple interactions and an attempt to speak with the GM, they eventually provided me a code to comp the parking but it took an unreasonable amount of time to get that done. Sadly, this will be my last stay at the Graduate. I will be moving to tthe Courtyard. Its not quite as convienent but they dont nickel and dime you either.

We have stayed at the Graduate several times as our child is a student locally. We love it- however, Recently the Graduate started charging for parking due to the number of students coming there to study and parking their cars there for hours. I wish they imposed a system of validating your room number as a guest of the hotel instead of charging everyone for parking. Other than they the Hotel is lovely and still on of our favorites in Oxford for games!

This property is very old and needs lots of work. It has the potential to be a very cute property, but for the price that you paid it was extremely disappointing.

Haven’t slept that good in a hotel room in a long time! Will absolutely stay there again in the future!

Great location, adorable lobby area, safe, and friendly, helpful staff

The staff was amazing! But I feel like Hilton should update this property if you are going to charge these prices. You should provide Ritz type service!

Staff was FANTASTIC. Everyone was so kind and friendly. (Shout out to Jeremi Woodall and his staff.) The staff and food at The Coop was wonderful. If you go... get the pimento cheese appetizer. Its worth it. My only criticism is that they need to get sheets that fit the beds. It was like the fitted sheet was way too small and it kept coming undone.
