It was close to Hilo Airport, the ocean was beautiful, the restaurant was nice, and the cookies were delicious.

Room service is the worst. When we complained and had it addressed, not one word of apology. The reason is that they gave a note to the staff who came to the room and handled the complaint.

[Good points] The view from the window and terrace of the room is amazing, with the ocean, mountains, and the city of Hilo spreading out in a vast way. The front lobby has a wonderful atmosphere with the sea breeze blowing through and Hawaiian songs being played. When I take a nap on the beach chair in the courtyard, I can only hear the waves, wind, and birds. It feels like I'm in another dimension. [Bad points] ① I was shown to a very small room of about 17 m2 with only a shower. When I checked the reservation confirmation email, I found that I had reserved a 34 m2 room with lanai, ocean front, and bathtub, so when I asked the front desk to change it, they told me that it was fully booked. It was very small and inconvenient with only a shower. Three days before checking out, I searched for a vacant room on the Expedia website myself, told the front desk, and was able to change to a 34 m2 room with a bathtub. I looked at two rooms, but the bathtub faucet in both rooms had been removed and could not be used. Also, the hotel never contacted me about a room becoming available. I negotiated to have breakfast included for three days as an apology, but they told me to ask Expedia. I told them that it was the front desk's mistake and Expedia had nothing to do with it, but the staff just told me to ask Expedia. 2. On the first day, the bed sheets were made with wrinkled sheets that had been used by other guests. Last time, when I stayed in a twin room, only one of the beds was same

Good location from the airport and good place to stay for walking around. There are many chairs in the garden and you can enjoy ocean front view. Lobby bar and restaurant bar were good enough for tourists. Receptionists are not so friendly and we can not expect good services.

Stayed in Jr Suite for 7 nights. The view from guest room was amazing and we enjoyed our stay in Hilo. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. This historic hotel was nicely renovated and felt comfortable. The only weak point was the slow elevator.

飲み物が美味しくて，のんびりできました

清掃も綺麗にして頂き、飲み物のサービスも充実していました。 ホテルの回りの環境も最高です。 静かなバニアンツリーの道、海には溶岩の島、すぐ近くに庭園のような公園。 しばらく、のんびり滞在したくなります。

屋外プールが工事中で使えず残念でしたが、目の前の海や景色は素晴らしく良かったです フロントに日本人スタッフの方がいらして色々とサポートしてもらえて快適に過ごせました 周りにお店などは無いのでホテル内レストランがもう少し充実していたら良かったです

バスタブの栓が閉まらず湯が溜められなかった。 ベーシンの栓も完全に閉まらなかった。 バスルームのスライディングドアは上のレールが外れて閉めづらかった。 空調の調節が上手くいかなかった。 セーフティボックスが使えなかった。 欠点があったが、部屋からの景色は素晴らしかった。

フロントスタッフさんの対応も良く、快適に滞在できました。日本語対応可能なスタッフさんもいらっしゃって、英語が不安な方も安心かと思います。

レースのカーテンがないので、開けると外から丸見え、閉めると景色も外の光も入らずで、 カーテンを開けながら窓近くに行かないように、外から見えないように行動していました

浴室の排水環境が悪かった

We have been having great experiences in Hawaii at every place we have stayed so far. But I have to mention something special about this property. We stayed here only for one night -but every bit of it was worth it. The staff at the reception desk on 20 th evening - her name is Ipo - was just amazing! We just mentioned that our younger one’s birthday is on 21 st and we wanted to know if there was an option of getting a cake somewhere. Not only she arranged a cake as a courtesy , she got beautiful garland and a cute birthday card signed by the staffs for our little one and had everything ready to be picked up at the front desk at 11 at night! We travel all around the world - this was so special ! We never experienced this kind of hospitality anywhere before ! They didn’t have to do any of it - we would still love the property - its location right on the water - beautiful view from the balcony - the excellent service by the staffs at the restaurant! We couldn’t ask for anything more ! It will be nice to come back again ! Thank you Ipo and thank you all the staffs !

The location is excellent next to 3 beaches and on the waterfront with a spacious view there is a lovely Japanese garden adjacent to the hotel. The main problem is the valet parking is slow. They need to hire more parking attendants. We stayed for 3 nights and each time we waited 10-15 minutes in the car line to drop the car off for valet parking. There are two lanes in front of the hotel in the circular driveway. They could use one for people unloading luggage and the other for valet parking. The we’re using both lanes for both purposes and that slowed down people who already were checked in and just wanted to drop off the car. This is the worst. A let experience I’ve ever had.

The lawn & pool area setting is beautiful. Staff are super friendly.

Dirty, noisy, kids running in the halls when you’re trying to sleep, people fighting outside, hallways stink like pot, the room is run down (stains, cracks, etc). Very understaffed.

Great stay!

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was beautifully located and comfortable. It was close to many local spots that are must see. Staff were all so friendly and helpful. We will definitely return.
