Holiday Inn RICHLAND ON THE RIVER by IHG, an IHG Hotel

The TV had a large crack in the LCD screen, making it very difficult to see. It's a shame that breakfast isn't a buffet.

The staff was helpful and friendly....always. The fitness center was quite nice. The restaurant could be a wonderful place if marketed correctly. I found the food to be quite tasty and the staff was very nice and friendly. My only "complaint": The carpeting in the hallways was quite shabby.

The room was very clean. The mattress was softer than I like. There was just one wastebasket, in the living area, which I moved to the bathroom. The hallway carpet was dingey and stained. Access from the hotel grounds to the river walk was inconvenient and inadequate. The staff were all pleasant, competent, and friendly.

I felt like I was staying at a night club. The music in the ballroom of the event they were hosting was shaking the walls of the whole hotel. And the participants of the event they were completely disrespectful and disruptive to all of the other guests in the hotel. My room was halfway clean with trash left behind and opened coffee containers in my room and a halfway cleaned bathroom. I was so put off from the experience that I didn’t even want to eat their breakfast offerings.

always good to stay here when we go to TriCities - good view, good area, good value

The shower had very little water pressure which made it difficult to get your hair rinsed. I also didn’t like that they charged for breakfast. I have stayed in other chains and breakfast has always been complimentary

Coffee maker in the room didn't work. Breakfast buffet was terrible. Warm juice. Coffee quality terrible. Messy. Food mediocre. Should have been free. Water tasted terrible, definitely not filtered. Water fountain broken. Not enough staff. The staff that was there was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. Nice pool area. Great location and grounds were lovely. Come stay but don't eat here!

We love staying at this property when we travel up there for BMX. This stay was disappointing in the fact that it was over 100 each day we were here and the pool was closed starting Friday, we were told it would be open Saturday morning and it was not. We understand repairs may need to be done, but why attempt those during such a busy weekend especially when the hotel was promoted by USA BMX as a preferred hotel to stay at. The staff was rude when approached about the pool situation. Other than that we love the patios and the property is clean and very nice.

Went for the pool but pool was closed luckily close by river access so that was convenient! Pictures were a little deceiving not as nice but you get what you pay for. Not terrible not great

For an old hotel it was clean, could be updated more in halls & lobby (brighter colors), loved the court yard access from patio. Beds were comfortable, clean hot tub, 9’ pool, quiet, updated bathroom, staff needs to be more attentive otherwise we really enjoyed the hotel and its retro architecture!

We stayed at this hotel after it was remodeled and renamed a few years ago and loved it! As a close get away, due to our daughter's illness, we decided to stay there for our 30th wedding anniversary. We had high hopes that it would be as wonderful of an experience as it was a few years before. The previous visit was also an anniversary get away. Sadly it was nowhere close to the same experience. The overall cleanliness of the room was great and the staff member that did our check in was fantastic. The issues started with the outdoor area attached to our room. We stayed in a king bed room overlooking the river. Our room was on the second floor on the backside of the hotel. The balcony was covered in spider webs all along the roof line. The spiders we saw were about the size of a nickel and were everywhere. Along the one edge of the roof line was a wasp nest and it was active with plenty of inhabitants! I am deathly allergic to any bee sting and carry medication in case I'm stung. I had brought it with me and almost had to have my wife inject me. It made using the balcony impossible to enjoy the sunset/sunrise. So spending no time outside was not to bad, however the bed was horribly uncomfortable and the non-existent pillows made it terrible to try to be comfortable. We managed to spend the first night and tried to make the best of it. However we had finally left at 1:30am the second day. Will never stay there again.

Place is perfect really, especially if needing close to hospital. Staff are amazing

Bed good but I think we were put in a handicapped room we did not request.

The staff was extremely rude, had keys, failing constantly, and the manager was extremely rude. Only the guy that checked me in was really nice and understanding, and I don’t like to leave bad reviews, but this one deserved it.

The carpet in my room was very dirty. It discolored socks an bare feet.
