Radisson Hotel Akron/Fairlawn

Checked in, walked into someone else’s room, went and got a new room. Was told wrong room again, given new keys went to room, just fell asleep little after midnight… other guests were given a key and given the same room we were in. So they walked in. Woke us up. Then receptionist calls to apologize and ask who I am. Like you should know who is in what room. Go back to sleep after we finally settle down from being woken up to strangers in our room.. then the front desk calls at 730 in the morning… whyyyyy they let it ring 2 times then hang up. Just enough to wake us up. Terrible terrible experience.

The rooms are badly in need of updating. They have 2 elevators and 1 was out of order the two nights we stayed. The only working elevator was out of order for part of the time. They did not provide adequate tolietries…no soap or gel for shower, only face soap. Expensive for condition of property. Will not book again!

Friendly and quick check in. It was late but the front desk was friendly and it was quick. Breakfast was decent. Clean rooms and we forgot a wallet and they resolved it quickly.

Average property

The first room we were given was occupied, the 2nd was not accessible. The floors in the hotel were extremely dirty, the bathrooms smelled horrible and were extremely dirty. The lobby floors, hallways and elevator were all dirty. We refused to stay on property and are requesting a full refund. We did not stay at the property.

The locks on the back doors were all broken so the building was accessible to all. There were people about at all hours, hanging out in the parking lots. Very outdated and dirty overall. They also upped the nightly deposit from the $50 listed on Expedia to $150.

The food here is good . Nice and helpful staff . Made me feel welcomed and I like how the set up the rooms .

If you only need to sleep for about 2-3 hours I recommend this place. If you are staying for more than a day don’t do it!!!!!!! When you first walk in you are greeted by (proper term) ladies of the night real word hookers. The site says they have 24 hour complimentary shuttle to and from the airport but they lied. I called from airport the man said they weren’t working at the time so I went back in the morning to a ride to the airport rental car place. The lady told me they don’t have a shuttle at all. Couldn’t get to my floor on the elevator because the number 3 button was missing. Hair was on the ceiling of the showers tubs were no bueno. Comforter had some unrecognizable stain on it. Tv channels were crap. I must admit the rooms were spacious and it came with a balcony. That’s it that’s all!!!!

There were issues throughout my stay which were all brought to the attention of & documented by the front desk. First off, our pillow cases were uncleaned & needed to be replaced, front desk obliges, no big deal. Second night i was awaken by a sinking feeling, apparently the sleep number bed had deflated completely on the half i was sleeping on & i spent the next 15mins trying to inflate it with no success. Contacted the front desk, they came up & had no answer to remedy the issue. At that time, while the front desk person was still in the room, i also noticed that the comforter i was sleeping on had significant blood stains, yellow stains, & also black stains. I was so disgusted & irritated at that point they offered to switch rooms, but since i had to be up to leave in a few hours, at that point, i opted to check out & asked that my stay be discounted as a result. The front desk person obliged, but said i must contact expedia with my request, but they'll document what happened on their end, for when expedia contact them. I'm asking that my stay here be significantly discounted because of the unusual inconveniences of my stay. Thank you.

The property need to be updated. The carpet needs to be changed.

Don’t stay there!!!! It’s filthy!!!! The beds are hard as rocks!!!! When I text For the Wi-Fi code, no response! Pay another 50 bucks and stay in Hampton Inn!! That’s what we did the next few nights and we couldn’t be happier!!!

Generally: There wasn't enough staff. Things everywhere were dirty, stained, and in poor repair. There were holes in the wall. At least one room number sign was just a piece of paper taped to the wall. The pool and pool room were dirty. There were no towels in the pool room, and when I asked for three, was given the only two available. Our room: The beds are SleepNumber style but the feature didn't work. The mattresses were worn out: the edges were sloped from years of people sitting on them. The sofa bed mattress support fabric was torn out of place at the foot end, so the mattress dipped at the feet. One of the closet doors was broken (didn't slide), the bathroom sink stopper didn't work, the shower caulking was mildewy, the shower curtain had a broken rod ring, the sink towel bar was broken off the wall and sitting on the countertop. The floors, walls, and furniture were scuffed, stained, dirty, damaged, but still usable. Only two bath towels in the room, and when I asked for more, was given the only one they had available. This was definitely overpriced for this experience.

The lobby was beautiful, but the rooms not so much. It was midnight, we were tired and we had to switch rooms 3 times! 1st room had a broken art frame by the entrance of our room, 2nd room had a toilet that was not flushing and then we finally made it to our 3rd room. The hallway reeked of Marijuana,but the room smell was okay... The next day my husband and my brother in law noticed some bug bites that were itchy on their legs. They very likely had bed bugs! Do NOT book here! There sofa bed was disgusting and broken, don't even try pulling that out. I had to place to bed sheet on it, just to sit!
