Red Roof Inn Lubbock

When i arrived i got into my room, i noticed that there was red stains on my comforter and when i yold them about it they said that was dye with the flowers on the comforter but the stains looked more like blood. I was excited they had a hot tub, but it did not work.

The whole reason I chose this property over other similar ones in the area was because of the pool/hot tub as it was advertised on the website but when we arrived it was closed due to the pump having gone out. The carpet in the hallway to the room was dingy and littered with trash. The bedding was stained and we had to go to front desk to get clean replacements. The mattress was very thin and uncomfortable. I could feel the springs cutting into me. The bathroom smelled like sewage, the ceiling tiles were broken and trim was rusted, and the sink “tile” was being held together by packaging tape. Also every time I left the room and tried to get back in the key wouldn’t work and I had to return to the front desk and have it reprogrammed. Even knowing all the issues, and having charged an additional $50 deposit (even though the room had already been paid for in full at the time of booking) the front desk staff’s only suggestion was that we could leave and go somewhere else and they would probably give us a refund but it would take several days. Only positive things I can say is that the A/C cooled great and the TV worked.

It was the worst stay ever

It smelled of weed , to complain and was told “It always does “! We had to climb two flights of stairs because the elevator was broke and had been for months , we had to change rooms because the AC was broken !!

Roaches in the room and you have the gall to charge a $50 deposit? How can I possibly leave it worse than I found it? This place was not worth even the $60 I paid for a room. For one of the cheapest in the area, you can tell why. What once might have been a cool hotel is now a worn out shell. Stay somewhere else in town, it’s not worth it.

Bathroom had hair still in it trash hasn’t even been thrown and had hair in it

The stay was great. I didn't have very many hang ups at all. The staff was very friendly.

bedspread had holes in it- refrigerator was frozen up and falling out of the cabinet. They changed out the refrigerator, and installed it, it wiggled all over. The microwave was replaced, because it didn't have the glass tray inside. The door was missing the security latch.

The rooms smelled because of the pets allowed , also dirty and the building is falling apart .

TERRIBLE, not to mention expensive for what it was. Very dated, not clean (room or the lobby), the cooler wouldn't cool down because it's literally pulling the air from the indoor pool right outside of the room so it felt humid all night. The latch on our door was broken and the Joining room door was left unlocked. Not worth $200/night that I paid.

Blood stains on sheet, cigarette ash everywhere, broken elevator and drug deals going on in broad daylight in the front of hotel. Make sure to bring your own pillows and ask for new set of sheets at the front desk

Cockroaches in the bathroom, room not cleaned right.

Staff was rude.

Key cards didn't work-had to re-key them twice (still didn't work consistently); there was only 1 ice machine shared by all 3 floors located on the 2nd floor; swimming pool closed all week long; elevator buttons did not illuminate; drunks hanging around front entrance; former employees staying in rooms free courtesy of a front desk lady; cockroaches coming out from under dresser; mold in tub/shower; shower mat was in pieces; non guests hanging around to see if they could get food if they swept front walkway; the entire perimeter of property was filled with trash everywhere; pet friendly but no dog area so dog poop was everywhere; only 2 handicap parking spaces; had requested handicap due to mobility issues - non available; refrigerator freezer had no door and was frozen solid unusable; A/C front panel hanging off; guests dog running around lobby barking owner no where around; upon entering hotel lobby it stunk; toilet almost overflowed at every flush; employees vaping at registration desk; head of housekeeping was rude when asked to re-key room card; bed improperly made; Felt our safety was at risk everytime we entered or departed the front entrance; Staff was helpful with directions. I would never recommend anyone stay there. Filthy, filthy place

This place is very old, lots of it is run down and it is not clean

It was super outdated. Shower head didnt really work. Comforter was a paper thin sheet, curtains looking in to the pool didnt close all the way witgout a preexisting hair clip. Pillows were giant lumps. The room smelled of mildew from the pool exposure.

Hard to believe this property is still open. Between the homeless people out side, the mold EVERYWHERE. The paint chipping the horrible smells. 1000% would love my money back and never return to this place. Can’t get home fast enough to wash this awful experience off.

Website is not accurate for amenities. Continental breakfast stopped serving since February 2025. Asked receptionist and the said website not accurate and hasn’t been updated since February. Shower selector valve was not working and they did fix while there. Other than that okay to stay.
