The bed was very comfortable and there were no bugs. The location was great! However, the smell of the room was quite pungent. The property itself was run down and it you need a place to just stay and you dont care about the experience, this is fine. If you want to enjoy your stay and the property, this is NOT the place.

We really appreciated the excellent communication throughout our stay and the consideration given to our travel requests. However, I believe the building could benefit from some updates. For instance, new mattresses would improve comfort, as our mattress had a noticeable dip in the middle, causing us to feel like we were gravitating toward the center. Additionally, a larger TV would enhance the overall experience. Thank you for your attention to these suggestions!

This was our 2nd visit to Sea Shells. Last year we had a basic hotel room with a kitchenette that was just okay. This time i rented the 1bedroom, oceanview apartment/condo. I have to admit it was so clean, nice, comfy and very well priced (especially during a holiday weekend). I am sold and intend to rent this unit or whatever happens to be available for every daytona trip I take forever more.

The building is older but they have updated the rooms pretty well. Management is awesome! Beds are comfy!

Little to no parking, they only put 1 towel for showering and there was 2 of us. Rhe door was hard to open, would have been nice to have a change machine for the washer and dryer.

The view from here is amazing. Staff was pleasant and communicative. Our room was clean and well kept. Definitely staying here again.

Liked the location

We had a great stay! It’s definitely dated and a little further from the boardwalk than we wanted but all in all, we would stay here again.

Enjoyed location, Enjoyed pool and beach access. Bed was worn and uncomfortable. Overall was a goos stay for our one night trip

I had a difficult check-in, as manager was just getting back from vacation. But everything kept getting better after that, and I plan to return here in a few weeks. Only minor electrical issues, otherwise a very enjoyable place to have stayed at!

Excellent communication with the property owner/mgr.

The property has easy access to the beach and seemed to have a decent pool. The parking is an issue. There are simply not enough spaces. The rooms were quite run down. Our sink handle was broken and the toilet paper handle was almost falling off. Heaven forbid you ask for extra towels. Highly suggest bringing your own because they are super stingy. Floorboards were missing. The bed squeaks and the air was inconsistent. It is definitely a reasonable price for it’s location but definitely more of a cheap stay and by no means anything of luxury.

The hotel did not staff their lobby. All communication was through text despite my repeated attempts to speak with someone. The room had a very strong cigar odor that we had to air out for the entire stay by keeping the doors open. The keys to the hotel are kept in a communal lock box—not sure of the safety of this. The inside of the room was very run down with a mini couch and full size chair. And table with 4 chairs in the living/dinning space. The king bed was behind its own closed door. The bathroom was the size of a powder room at best and very run down. Despite my repeated attempts to speak with someone about the smell of cigars and a key that didn’t work, the hotel staff there was no resolution to the smell. I was basically told it was a non smoking room….which I knew but that didn’t solve the smell. He did offer air fresheners… definitely didn’t want air freshener smelling cigars. The two doors to the balcony both did NOT lock. This was rated 3 star and I wouldn’t even give it 1. We stayed in St Augustine the height before we checked in and the hotel was super clean! The smell of cleanliness was apparent from the moment we walked in. The room in St Augustine was very small, however, they made very good use of the space. In short, I would not recommend the Sea Shell in Daytona.

Location is in prime location. The furniture was outdated. The bed was terrible, smd noisy. Smelled like smoke throughout the unit. The cost to stay there didnt match what it looked like
