Stay away … unless you want to ruin your vacation

Good option for solo traveling.

I’d stay there again!

The place was nothing fancy. But isn’t amazing budget option for a solo traveler if you’re planning on not spending your time at your hotel or lodging location. I was there for a couple planned hikes. This met my needs entirely, even though I had a couple noisy suite mates. Overall a very good option.

Great option for a single traveler looking to get the most for their money, reasonable cost and close to everything needed.

This is a college dorm - and as we were on a college roommate trip it was fun to revisit dorm furniture and dorm life. It was also a great option on iron man weekend when everything in lake placid was full up. But we would stay again. It was super quiet and away from town bustle. It is also right on a rail trail and we enjoyed long walks through the forest and wetlands. The manager who checked us in was super friendly and helpful. The dorm was clean and quiet. The morning continental breakfast was very good. We appreciated a great stay! Thanks!!!

It was a very inexpensive option and my expectations were that I was staying in a clean college dorm room - which it was exactly! No complaints.

Overall good stay. Mattress was uncomfortable. Staff was friendly. I felt safe as a 28 year old solo female traveler. I would recommend to bring an extra pillow as I only had one. Towels and sheets and blanket provided. Very clean.

We had four people staying at this place for two days. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They assisted us with check-in and provided a simple yet complete breakfast with everything we needed. We arrived very late on the first day—almost midnight—after a 6-hour drive from New Jersey. We didn’t realize the check-in time was between 3 PM and 8 PM, but we called them a few times to make sure we could still get the keys. As promised, we were able to access our room and had a great night. Overall, I recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay.

Great accomidations at a good price

Absolutely loved my time here. First off, it’s a college dorm room. It’s cheap, it’s clean and better than being out in woods. Bed is comfortable. There’s a fridge and microwave. There’s a complimentary breakfast which was better than a lot of hotels I’ve stayed in. There’s four rooms to a suite so I guess there’s a chance others could be there but I had the place to myself for two nights. All staff members I interacted with were warm and friendly. I’d definitely stay here again and if you’re traveling on the cheap I’d definitely recommend it.

Great arrangement with the local college for hikers traveling light to stay cheap and explore the surrounding trails.
