We stayed here over the weekend and I was pretty disappointed. Could not sleep due to so much noise from above and sides. Made a complaint about it and all they had to say was sorry for the inconvenience. Key cards did not work for pool and they claimed to have table tennis, horseshoes, etc but when I asked they say they would call someone to get it and over an hour of waiting my son and I just called it a night. Rooms were clean. But everything else was horrible. We ended up checking out a day early because of the noise and no help. Would not recommend this place to anyone

I come here because it is a quiet,beautiful property with lots of parking (included). My favorite part is the pool, and especially like that the pool entrance is on the lower level. My only complaint this trip was that there were no dry towels when I was finished swimming. Probably it was just a busy weekend.

It’s June, it’s hot. It should be made clear your pool is under maintenance before booking. Did not find out until I read the little sign on reception front desk. I specifically picked this hotel for the outdoor pool. Paid more than I needed to because of the pool. Front desk did not care that this was an issue.

Very very nice staff

After school year, late spring stay was quiet and serene in these beautiful surroundings. Staff was way beyond gracious and breakfasts in their terrace side restaurant was perfect.

The place is awesome calm surrounded by trees smell good inside the hotel, employees are very friendly, the thing that I don’t like is when we check out they asked me if I need receipt to be printed or email, I said printed, but they said the Expedia is the one who will send me receipt , they gave me two option why they didn’t do it ! I want to find out if they billed my credit card , because it’s all paid off through Expedia,

This hotel is way out there—like, really out there. I remember seeing another review mention it, but wow... they weren’t kidding. It’s near a lake, but don’t expect any great views. From my room, all I could see was a giant white roof, which was a major letdown. If school is in session, I am guessing would be a nightmare to get around as it is on the campus. I paid over $300 per night after taxes, and honestly, that’s outrageous for what you get. I recently stayed at a beautiful spot in Nashville for less, and the quality there far surpassed this. I was really looking forward to cooling off in the pool since it was so hot—but the water was super cloudy and just looked dirty. Definitely not inviting. Also, the bar and food service doesn’t start until 5:30 PM, which is a problem when you’re so far removed from everything else. The food itself was just okay, though the drinks were solid. The room didn’t feel clean. There was pink mold in the shower and visible dirt in several spots. Some of the towels were so worn out they should honestly be repurposed as rags. The bed was uncomfortably hard, and the pillows reminded me of the kind you find at your mom’s house from 30 years ago—not in a good way. The photos make this place look way nicer than it actually is. For the price, I expected so much more.

Great hotel in a little oasis in Raleigh. Clean, quiet, with easy parking and very safe. It will be my go to spot in Raleigh in the future.

Staff was very personable, courteous, friendly and professional. Room was comfortable and clean. Dining was very good and great service. Recommend to reserve room with breakfast included. Breakfast was pricey otherwise.

Cons: I really did not feel the property was a 4 star property, this hotel was severly overpriced. Shower pressure was terrible, breakfast was over priced and not really worth the few items that are included on the menu. Furniture was old, needs a refresh, spotted dust on the furniture-large stain in the chaise, seen bondo on the shower pan. Pros: The bed was comfortable. The lush greenary around the property was nice, custoner service from front office was great!! Overall, I will not be back

The StateView Hotel was a great place to stay for a relaxing weekend in Raleigh. The location was convenient, the hotel bar had great cocktails, the outdoor pool area was clean with lots of seating, our room was spacious and clean, and the staff was attentive. We will definitely stay again during our next trip to Raleigh.

Clean, plenty of options for plug ins and filling up water bottle , quiet and pretty entrance. Has a bar that extends to the outside and is very modern.
