Hard to pick one thing really!! Hosts were wonderful people, very kind a you couldn’t find a more accomodating couple. The location is a world of its own, away from all the tourist chaos with snorkelling that will match anything you find anywhere else. The food was amazing, well beyond what you would hope to find in a restaurant but without the tourist prices. If I travel to Vanuatu again it will be first on my list every time.

Lovely place to stay - the villa has been done beautifully. Food was really yummy, definitely recommend the cooking class. Nearby sheltered swimming area in the sea. Very friendly hosts. Don’t hesitate to book.

Wonderful and exquisite accommodation, on the beachfront and the reef. Tranquil location and secluded. Marcus and Stoney were fabulous hosts, great conversations and the food was out of this world. The real jewel in Vanuatu.

Just amazing. Marcus and Shoran took good care of us. We were there during Tropical Cyclone Lola, it only hit us in the tail, but the buildings are well secured and prepared for that, no danger really. The food we got was incredibly delicious, they use local ingredients and try to make it a bit different. Marcus and Shoran are very friendly people, we felt like we were visiting family or close friends. The villa is very clean, modern and very well designed. The beach is beautiful and we did some nice snorkeling, no one else is there, you have it all to yourself. You can watch films on the TV or play board games if it is raining. It's a piece of remote paradise.

This was an amazing property and hosts were fantastic too. The food was so delicious we had amazing cooked breakfasts and most days ordered lunch and dinner also expertly prepared by Chef Marcus. It was a great location near the famous blue lagoon and also had a great little beach in front and a couple of others nearby including the 60 meter long natural lap pool that you can use sheltered any time of day. There is a reef with sea creatures and corals right out front. The huge grounds are well manicured and you really feel secluded. Lovely to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean and wake up to birdsong.. The studio had a massive king bed and beautiful outdoor area with massive day bed and sitting area. Lovely to sit outside in the morning and have the lovely Stoney bring fresh coffee and two courses for breakfast. If you have landed on this listing book it don't hesitate. You won't regret it. We loved our time here and we will be back! The owners have two very cute little dogs too. Dora and Benny. Couldn't be a more perfect stay.

This is the rockstar of accommodation. Amazing food (really, really amazing), fabulous hosts, spotlessly clean, and stunning coral pools to swim in. Seriously great, completely made our holiday to Vanuatu.

Literal paradise! The house and grounds are beautiful and well maintained, hosts are welcoming and kind and the food and experience provided second to none. What a relaxing break, away from the norm in untouched nature with good food and company! What more could you ask for!

This property was simply stunning, Marcus, Stoney & Dora were the perfect hosts for what can only be explained as the perfect destination. Everything from location to quality of food and surroundings were absolutely faultless. We will be back very soon

This is the perfect mix of air bnb and resort, you get all the bonuses of a resort with snorkelling spots and loads of space but also the personal touches from Stoney and Marcus

We loved, loved, loved our stay! We would certainly recommend Papaya Villas, the amazing hosts Stoney and Marcus, the super delicious food, the attention to detail and not to forget the unique and beautiful setting. We spent three days at the wonderful Papaya Villa. Stoney (our host) picked us up from town and drove us to the villa, providing us with information about the local area and places to visit. Upon arrival we were shown around the beautiful property and welcomed by Marcus. During our stay we were able to borrow some snorkelling gear and explored lots of amazing coral reefs and beaches all within a close walk to the property. We also loved being able to walk around the bush at night. Stoney and Marcus were kind and generous hosts, who we enjoyed having a chat and drink with. The breakfasts provided were fantastic and the lunches/dinners we had cooked were delicious and very good value. We also took part in a cooking class at the property with Marcus. He was an excellent chef and teacher - and the seafood paella and Spanish churros he taught us to make were delicious! Thank you Marcus and Stoney for an incredible experience - we will be back.

Beautiful B&B right on the shore of Eton reef. The hosts were incredibly friendly, warm and helpful. Absolutely beautiful beaches and natural ocean swimming pools to explore within a few minutes walk of the Villa - white sand and clear water on this side of Efate. Nice to get away from the hustle and bustle and reconnect with nature. Close to Blue Lagoon.

Arriving, we were greeted warmly by Stoney and Marcus. The main house and the villa are both impressive, and spotlessly clean throughout. The villa room itself is quite small, but the numerous outdoor spaces for lounging are more than ample. The bed was very comfy, and the bathroom was very clean, ample size, and best water quality that we experienced in Vanuatu. Although no in room fridge, Marcus was happy to share the house fridge with us. The house is off the grid, utilising solar energy, water collection, and clean, clear underground spring water. The wifi was the fastest and most reliable that we encountered on the island. The property is located within a quiet and safe residential area of large beach front land plots which are magnificently landscaped, offering seclusion, privacy, and amazing walks along the sea side with spectacular views of a natural, unspoiled environment. The nights are very quiet, with no light pollution, so the night sky is dazzling! Throughout our stay, we were made to feel very welcome by Marcus and Stoney. Marcus, a chef by trade, took great pleasure in preparing delicious meals for us, using the freshest, organic ingredients. In essence, we were so fortunate to have a “personal chef”. Stoney,with her boundless energy, was always giving us the best local tips and advice, inc a reef walk which was stunning, and drove us to the local blue hole for a swim. If you are looking for a home stay with a difference...this is it! Truely fabulous
