Stayed here a few times, for a budget hotel,they go out of the way to look after guests, As a biker,got a lock up garage, so you know your motorcycle is safe.

Bedroom was very tired looking and needed a good lick of paint and tlc. Furniture needed replacing and also shower and hand basin. Bed was comfy though!

Very basic room, could do with some improvements such as soap in the bathroom, a spoon to stir tea/coffee. Tea bags just loose, would be better in a sachet. Didn’t dare try any food in the bar/dining room due to the large rats seen running in the area near the kitchen and bin area. No housekeeping, nobody came into my room during my stay to make the bed, change the towels and empty the waste bin in the room, disappointing. On a positive note, the room was warm and the bed very comfortable. Lots of road noise.

The room was cleaned from the previous tenant. The bed was dirty and there were beer glasses everywhere and the bathroom was filthy. We could not stay the night and are in the process of getting a refund!

Given wrong key on arrival No shampoo or soap in room 2 useless tiny soap bars given when requested No decaffeinated coffee available in hotel, and no effort made to get some Bathroom mat stank of mould Toilet made very strange banging noise when cistern refilling Toilet seat detached Bedding and curtains looked old and dingy Hall carpet very stained and stank of smoke Booked breakfast with evening bar staff, who appeared lazy and disinterested and message not passed on, so “No chef booked” Given cup of hot water only for breakfast Greggs suggested, where omelette roll was very unpleasant Will be a cold day in hell when I spend money here again Recommend taken of hotels. Com site as completely rubbish

Booked multiple rooms, all cold, one damp, lack of hot water

The good news is friendly staff, easy check in, the room was okay and the breakfast very nice. The bad and really bad news is: the first room I was given had a radiator that didn’t work at all and the room was freezing. I mentioned this to staff who initially told me there was nothing that could be done. I persisted and asked to move rooms… I was given another room. In this room the radiator barely worked. Just hot at the bottom. This is not a recent problem as there are other reviews commenting on this. The shower was tiny and took an age to heat up Flushing the toilet sounded like a rocket taking off.I didn't dare flush it in the night. There was mould above the shower and the bathroom looked and felt like it hadn't been cleaned properly in an age. The car park is tiny, perhaps 4 or 5 cars maximum. I was lucky, during my stay it was quiet.

Parking was ok. Property central. Staff nice. Decor a bit tired but ok, good price, nice staff.

One night stay, comfortable bed, nice size clean room. Dog friendly.

Mixed feelings about the Hampton. Its in a good location in the middle of town and we were lucky to be able to check in early. The staff were pleasant, but the condition of the hotel is very jaded, old carpets and quite dark. Access to the room is by a turn-key which was difficult to turn. Small room with small TV. Tiny 'bathroom', old carpet and old secondary glazed windows which didnt keep street noise out but bed was very comfortable. Full English breakfast was hot and tasty but coffee/tea machine wasn't working.

Quite possibly the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in—and as a frequent business traveller, that’s saying something. We booked 8 rooms for 5 nights and every single one was filthy, uncomfortable and in disrepair. Issues included: stained bedding, mouldy showers, broken beds, missing hairdryers (despite being advertised), threadbare towels, no water in some showers, and doors that couldn’t be properly locked. The whole place reeked—some rooms of fresh paint, others of something rotting. The noise levels were appalling, from barking dogs to loud plumbing and paper-thin walls. Parking is advertised but completely inadequate; none of us could use it. We were forced to pay in full on arrival—now we know why. Breakfast wasn’t available before 7am, and despite explaining we were leaving early each day for the Royal Welsh Show, no effort was made to accommodate us, unlike other hotels who offer early service or takeaway options. The manager was ‘unavailable’ at checkout and has yet to respond. This is rated a 3-star hotel—it’s barely worthy of 1. We paid over £4K and had team members ready to drive four hours home just to avoid another night here. Shocking service and conditions. I would never return or recommend. I’d welcome contact from the owners (Mrs Rosemary Helen Sanders and Mr Carl David Sanders) or the manager (Neil) to discuss this further.

Basic, but done the job for a night out, and somewhere to rest your weiry head. Couldn't believe there was no soap in the bathroom!!! Place was clean. Didn't attempt to take a shower as the cubicle is sooooooo small, clostraphobia.

Stayed here a few times,great location in centre of town,staff so helpful, room spacious and clean,Safe lock up for motorcycles,looking forward to next visit.

Third floor a problem without lift. Very Small no chair.Shower wasn’t working, I reported but no action taken or explanations. No way out in case of an emergency eg fire.Parking a major problem.

Basic but great value. Fantastic management and staff. Neil very helpful with bikes.
