The room was lovely & meal . We stayed for New Year’s Eve . There was no atmosphere no build up to bring the new year in . There was a band upstairs full of youngsters is was crazy they where sick over the toilets floors sinks walk ways glasses smashed everywhere .then started damaging the property it was crazy . We stayed in the restaurant out of the way . Really disappointed wouldn’t stay there again unfortunately .

The room and building is lovely. Staff are all very helpful & the breakfast was delicious. Due to the style of the building it does unfortunately not allow for the quietest of sleeps if you are in the original building.

Great reception greeting for my second stay, after a very long drive I was helped with my bags to my room where I also dined on very good fare. Breakfast is included and excellent across the road from the hotel at Penny Farthing. Recommended location in a nice location with ample parking

The hotel is fabulous, great breakfast as well, however with no phone signal in the area the WiFi was terrible hence 4*

Excellent staff

Room 41 was large, comfortable, clean, with good facilities. There was an annoying sound through the night like a motor that switched on for 10 seconds then off for 25 then started again.

The food was delicious, the service was amazing, a wonderful place to eat, drink and sleep. We had a classic bedroom which was fine for staying the one night. It’s an old building but you can see how they’ve made the best of that. Great facilities in the rooms. Parking was easy and close to hotel. Warm and cosy. Shower was hot but need to change the shower head. Bit of a draft with the old windows but the heavy curtains and large radiator kept the room nice and warm. A mirror at the dressing table would be nice but I was happy sitting by the fabulous wall to ceiling mirror to dry my hair. We loved our stay and would definitely return. Thank you.

Rm 27 was a bit tired needs renovation. Especially the bathroom. It’s a long walk to the room surely the lighting and decoration might make the journey more pleasant Still no EV charging , forcing me to stop in Cardiff or Newport. Stops that I should not need to do.

Such a charming hotel. Spacious room and great breakfast options. Right in the middle of the town. Easy free parking.

Lovely hotel with parking behind the hotel ( parking spaces on the high street are at a premium). Friendly and helpful staff, well appointed rooms and restaurants with a good choice of food. I would highly recommend a stay here.
