Could have been a bigger room no good for a couple single room would be better for the size . Also no where to hang towels put toiletries . No house keeping while we were there . Did for a two night stay however very claustrophobic pictures on internet very deceiving . Still had a nice stay but there you are wouldn’t stay again as also no smoking area

The view outside the hotel is to die for.

Good value for money, great views from the upper floor on the front of the building. Near train station and moderate walk to town or island. Room very basic, single glazed window, very loud traffic noise "boy racers" all night. Wouldn't recommend staying while functions on, extremely loud music and room vibration until early hours.

The staff were fantastic, the hotel's communal areas are perfect however the room we had was in desperate need of attention. Bedside tables were worn and hanging off the wall, the bath needed a clean. The room needs a bit of tlc. We slept lovely, it was quiet. For the price we cannot complain but what was advertised was not what we received.

The hotel had a wedding or some party on until about 1am with full blast music, there was no fan or air con in 20+ degree heat and we didn’t sleep a wink.

Staff were super lovely and helpful, room clean and nice to stay in. Very pleasant stay for myself and son.

All good for a one night stop

For the cost of a few nights stay it was a good price ,a very small niggle was the lack of a shelf in the bath room for placing toiletries etc. It would have been helpful to have a full English breakfast and other dinning options at mid day and evening with out the need to look around the area.,Having said that there are plenty of choices not too far away.Over all happy with the stay.

Staff very friendly, however the bedroom on-suite shower was dangerous and couldn’t switch it off or control the temperature.

Welcoming and friendly staff, but did seen a little short staffed. Hotel does seem a little tired and would benefit with a facelift. We had a comfortable stay, and room was fine. There was a function, so perhaps more people than usual leaving cigarette end outside. Overall it was good accomadation.

Staff very friendly & helpful only downside was the bed as I got out of bed one morning hadn't noticed a broken spring sticking out which resulted in a rather nasty cut all up the back of my leg

Very disappointed in the bedroom, we had 2 rooms and unfortunately many things wrong with one of them! One of them had a few issues however I had my daughter who is 3 and unfortunately it was very very unsafe for her. The photo looks nothing like the rooms we stayed in, the bed was the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on the springs was coming through and smashed glass all outside the window as well as damp

No where to fill kettle up alot of stairs for my partner the sink was to small but overall not bad very friendly staff

A warm, friendly welcome from the staff and that theme was consistent throughout the stay. Parking was limited and we were lucky enough to get a spot, but the surrounding streets appeared to be permit holder only, so I think you’d have to go further away to park if not onsite. The bathroom door wouldn’t stay closed which wasn’t ideal for a family sharing when toilet activities were required!! The shower was awful. The location of the hotel was great for exploring Barry. Everything was within walking distance. Decent value for the price but this hotel could be so much nicer with some TLC to refurbish it.

Doors didn't lock, no provision of any bathroom amenities, and room just very tired and basic. Staff were friendly though.

Lovely

Really disappointed in stay, bedroom dirty the bathroom was filthy, most of everything in bedroom didnt work properly or was broken. The bar was meant to shut at 01.00hrs but bloke closed it at 00.00hrs as he couldnt be arsed to serve anyone anymore despite 7 people being in bar! If anyone stays be sure to take a screwdriver with you, your going to need one!

The property it’s self was amazing and staff were always there if needed the customer service was outstanding however the room we stayed in was extremely small I wish it was advertised more as a smaller room not a regular room but I know now for next time too look at the rooms ahead before staying
