Great hotel in Central Lusaka, half an hour from the airport (600 kwachi cab ride). Feels upscale. Good food in the restaurants and breakfast buffet. Clean room, nice and quiet, good neighborhood, surprisingly affordable. I stayed two nonconsecutive nights and had an equally excellent experience both times.

Definitely the most luxurious hotel in Lusaka, about the interior and reception. Their steak house is also worth visiting. but the room itself will be price-fitting quality. Travelers who need to get wifi should not stay here. It was very weak and unstable in my room at 4th floor.

チェックインの際、予約と異なる部屋を用意されており、違う旨を伝えると、何の説明もなく部屋のキーを回収されるのみでした。部屋に入った際には、タオルやアメニティ、ティーカップ等が揃っておらず、フロントに連絡すると、係の人が駆けつけて、必要なものもをすぐに補充してはくれました。また、シャワーのお湯が温くて、身体が温まらないどころか、寒いと感じる程でした。それ以外は、とても快適に宿泊できましたが、期待が大きかっただけに、ちょっと残念でした。

家族旅行で目的地までの経由地として、往復計２度利用しました。今回は２度目の利用でしたが、部屋に備え付けのティーセット及びアメニティの補充が明らかにされていなかったように思いました。行きの１度目の宿泊の際は、きちんと揃っていて、ザンビアに居ながら日本のホテル並みに快適に過ごせて、家族皆満足していましたが、掃除後の補充忘れなのか残念でした。その他のホテルの設備・フロントやレストランでの接客は、とても親切に対応していただき良いホテルだと思いました。またルサカに宿泊する機会があれば、是非、利用したいと思います。

Pamodzi is under new ownership and the soon to be Hyatt-affiliated property is undergoing substantial redevelopmemt, both inside and out. (So, there can be construction noise.)
Current pluses: while oringinally built in 1979 and showing some age, the rooms are a good size, well eqipped, aircon and electricity reliable, and rooms are quiet (it was a solidly built hotel). Wifi worked consistently for 4 days, and staff were responsive. Excellent chicken quesadilla (a new dish on the menu). Location is good for government and business meetings.
Minor issues: ongoing construction, prices are a bit high, especially for breakfast buffett, and there are signs of age. But this will be a significantly rejuvenated property in 6-12 months.

I think it was way affordable now than it used to be and so large families with kids stayed there. The kids kept running up and down the hall keeping my baby awake. The name and brand of the Taj was so high that not any family can afford it, so that was disappointing. I could have paid extra for peace. In addition , my bathing water was cold both days after asking them to fix it many times. Pretty disappointing

The excellent staff and service is what sets this hotel apart. The masala dosa in the morning is a highlight. Unfortunately, the rooms are showing their age and upgrades are needed. I have stayed at the hotel 4 times now. There was no hot water and the toilet would take 1 hour to refill the tank after flushing. Hopefully a renovation is in the works.

Ein wirklich schönes und gut gepflegtes Hotel mit Stil. Leider ist der Pool gerade wegen Umbauarbeiten nicht benutzbar. Ich konnte aber nach einigen Verhandlungen den Pool im benachbarten Southern Sun Hotel benutzen.

I had a very bad time there because the two night I was there, we didn’t have power in our rooms only few rooms had power and the others not ! So I didn’t enjoy my time there! This was sad

It is a great property and hotel, although the room was dated (but maintained well for a 40-year-old hotel). Check-in and check-out were smooth and quick. The front desk was helpful and friendly. Convenient location—nice green oasis in the middle of the city. The food was okay. It was the second time I stayed at the hotel.
