I was actually pretty disappointed with my stay. The staff was not very friendly or helpful. In fact, as you walk thru the lobby it feels like they’re sizing you up to see if you belong there. I had to go to the restaurant 3 times to get ice because none of the ice makers worked. Our room smelled mildewy and the toilet ran the whole time. And, ocean view was a stretch as our room overlooked the driveway and the ocean was obscured by the trees.

The best thing about the stay was the veiw. The funiture was outdated and the room did have an odor. The location was good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I asked if I could do late checkout on the property and the receptionist said she could not accommodate me that was a shock never had a problem before and was wiiling to pah a fee but it was ok.

Loved the location, pool area, staff, breakfast area. Gorgeous views.

Honestly it needs some tlc, it was very run down, and just because your right on the beach is no excuse for charging so much! The staff some were nice but some were rude. Hung up on my elderly mom after she called to ask a question. But the kids loved the pools so that was the only thing going for it.

We had great views from our ocean view room. The beach was wide and quiet. The hotel was on the boardwalk, had 4 awesome pools with grottos, slides and a lazy river, an indoor theater and popcorn for rainy days!

Long story: we booked a room with an ocean view, if we stood on the balcony and hung over the railing we could see the ocean. That wasn’t the big problem with the room, the smell of smoke was too much. I went to the front desk to complain about the smell. I was told they had no other rooms with 2 queen beds, but that I would get a king bed with a roll in bed. 2.5 hours later I was still waiting for my room. When we got the room they gave us a king bed and a single bed cot roll in. I went to the front desk to explain we have 4 people in the room and the beds given don’t fit our needs. I then had to argue with the front desk staff before I was given an “upgrade” to a 2 queen room facing the street. (I booked a 2 queen bed ocean view room) Once in the room the shower door was broken as was the desk and the lights in the room. I have never stayed at a hotel as poorly maintained or poorly managed. If I could leave zero stars I would have.

Booked an oceanfront room for 3 nights. I felt I was on a mini resort. Property has much to offer and children will enjoy. Prices are expensive but heyyyy these days WHAT’S CHEAP ?? Rooms can use renovation and NEW BEDS (including sofa beds) PLEASE. Overall decent and recommend

I like the kids area and pool options however i did not like the elevators theu were so small and when trying to get our stuff downstairs to check out was very difficult . 2nd floor ice machine was not working no bath in our room only stamd up shower water pressure was very hard the drive around area to pull up to hotel was difficult to get in qnd out of due to high traffic also had to pay for hotel parking and it was hard to find parking if you left the garage overall wasnt very pleasant. We did enjoy the pool areas

This is the second time I stayed here for the 4th of July Holiday and this hotel definitely needs some updating and improvements. Last year we had a horrible leak in the ceiling and this year it was no different. Different room and different floor and we had another leak in the room and part of the ceiling were buckling to the point where maintenance had to come in and do patch work. This is definitely the last time I am staying at this hotel with my family. Some of the amenities are great but to pay $2100 and have room issues is insane. The buffet was good but definitely overpriced. The good part of the breakfast buffet and hotel is that kids eat free. But the two women who accepted payments at the breakfast buffet were often rude. The 3 pools and bar are always awesome and the best part of our stay. The staff at the outdoor bar is often very friendly and helpful especially when you have multiple little children. I won’t be staying here again until renovations are completed.

My Family has a great time! It rained a little bit it was cool because they have a indoor pool.

This place has potential if they did some serious renovations! After checking in we were charged 10 dollars a night for parking as well as 40 dollars a night for insurance deposit! Insurance deposit was returned back after 5 days! We had to be moved to another room after the first room because the ceiling drywall was falling on the floors and bed as you walked! The hallways were extremely hot as there is no working ac in the hallways! No washing machines were working only dryers! We were on the 2nd floor and the ice machine wasn’t working! The elevators were so small that you could only fit 4 people in as well as the elevators were very slow working! We were there for 4 days and we made the best of it! All in all we did like the indoor and outdoor pools for the kids and liked that it was right on the beach

We booked Holiday Inn but was put in adjacent hotel theybown. Very outdated and a bug running acriss bathroom floor!

Wifi did not open in 2 days, lamps broken. walls dusty

Stay was good but not great. Arrived at 5:00 pm and had to wait until 6:30 to get into our room…. Check in time says 4:00 pm. As an “appology” we were given our choice of 10% off a very over-priced restaurant or two free drinks. Neither of those were attractive to us. Property is old but beds were comfortable and clean. However, we booked 5 guests and there was no bedding for the sofa sleeper and we were informed that since house keeping had left for the day we would have to return to the front desk and retrieve them for our selves! Overall: great resting place and fun stay with poor guest relations!

Overall the stay was very enjoyable. The room was clean, however, there were areas of caked up dust and there was mold on the bathroom ceiling. Areas of the rug were loose and coming up or off of the wall. The staff was friendly and the area around the hotel offered convenience for food and entertainment. I would stay here again in the future when visiting the Virginia Beach area.

This was by far one me of the worst places I have ever stayed for vacation. I thought about booked a suite which was not the case. Since I booked through Expedia the front desk lady dismissed me instantly. Not trying to accommodate with anything. Saying there was nothing that they could do. The room was extremely small and smelled. My toilet kept having issues. One elevator that worked that included the service elevator. The wait time on this is ridiculous. Then to get into the elevator the smell and the extreme heat is unbearable. Not a single ice machine worked in all 7 floors. I called several times to the front desk never getting answered. The service for the toilet was an issue. At the time my partner was taking a shower I asked if you could come back in 10 minutes never showed. The breakfast was outrageous. The hostess was extremely rude and not nice at all. Giving me the price of $40.95. I told I didn't receive my volchers. I finally got them after waiting for awhile. I finally sit down and the service and food was terrible. Nothing was hot everything was cold and gross. Couldn't get my juice or a child's cup. It was just bad all 3 days. I would eat the fruit but every thing was bad. How anyone would pay $40 for this is out of my mind. Through out the stay I witness employees smoking pot and cigarettes on the roof. Also, my cash was stolen it was just $30 however seriously who is tipping g that much their first night there. They ought to be a shame of thems
