Dropping off bags early, I was asked for all passport & credit card details for security. For unknown reason, had to do it all again when room was ready couple of hours later at scheduled check in time.
After doing hotel pre-check in several days before my trip, had to do it all again on arrival as well.
At check in I was also queried about age of my son. I stated clearly that he was 16, showed the booking and they also had his passport details. The woman on reception proceeded to tell me he is classed as an adult - their hotel (and many other she told me) class anyone over 13 as an adult. I informed her that when booking through Expedia, the child age was up to 17. Felt quite uncomfortable & nervous that they were going to force me to pay extra, or even not honour the booking. When I got to my room, there was no extra bed added for my son. When I went back to reception to query this, it was a manager who dealt with me and told me that the bed WAS scheduled to get delivered to the room - I would have thought it should have been done in time for the 3pm check in though. The first member of staff then proceeded to talk loudly to me over other customers that she was serving, to say she had already explained there was no bed because my son was classed as a child on the booking. A bed was finally delivered about half an hour later. All other staff during our stay were very good, but those on reception made it a very nervous and uncomfortable. Expedia & hotel need to clarify ages!
