Everything was going great about this property ubtil the very end. There were bugs in the kitchen area.

Long term renters posted outside our door all hours of day/night just smoking, coughing, talking, and watching videos on phone loudly. Kept us up and made our room smell like cigarettes. Beds were clean but carpet and floors had large brown stains. Overall the room spelled terrible for all 4 days we were there. Also, someone checked us out of our room without our knowledge and they gave our room to someone else. Luckily I caught it when the housekeeper tried to clean and told us we had been checked out. Hotel clerk corrected it for us but acted very put out about it to me and tried to accuse me of being the one to check out early. Thankful it was brought to my attention before we left for the day or we would have returned to strangers in our room and our belongings gone. Just felt like we were treated as intruders and we had inconvenienced everyone there by renting the room.

Spanish speaking lady working at breakfast was sweet and kind. Good breakfast. We liked staying at other Sonestas often inc. 2 others nearby. This was the worst. Lots of black mold visible in shower. Smell of mold from AC. Signs of painted over mold around air vents/walls. Bathroom sink wasn’t draining/was likely in need of routine maintenance. Smell of weed around pool and BBQ area. We asked politely if they’d allow us an early checkin if room happened to be ready earlier than 4pm. We said we knew it couldn’t be guaranteed -that it was just a polite request. We explained we had a family member with med condition finding it very hot and that person had lots of medicine that was getting overheated in car too. They indicated they’d accommodate if it ended up being ready earlier. When we got there they said they wanted $25 fee. We said we’d come back before 4pm checkin as the room rate was already high. We returned at 3.45 to get our multiple bags out of the car and do checkin paperwork and were left waiting until 4.25 for checkin. Anthony, desk clerk, was pretty unfriendly all the time. The other lady working around the front desk wouldn’t let our son sit on a chair in the lobby while waiting to checkin. Said he needed to buy food from hotel snack shop to sit there. We later noticed other guests fold laundry and hang out at that seating area without complaint. They also wouldn’t allow us to use pool while waiting and didn’t offer to hold bags.

The beds were comfortable and clean. The room however stunk. The vent above the sink in the one bathroom when blowing air smelt like bad body odor. The floor in the kitchen net doesn’t look like it was ever swept or mopped. The one bathroom had hair on the soap bottles in the ceiling and in the tissue box like someone shaved or cut their hair and it was never cleaned up all the way. Don’t walk barefoot in the room your feet will be black the carpet was so dirty, white socks weren’t white afterwards. I went to check out and the music in the lobby was so loud I could barely hear the guy working because he wouldn’t get up to talk to me he was to busy on the computer. The female staff super friendly and helpful. I checked out two days early as we were only down there for baseball because the bad body odor was making me sick.

The guy that worked at the front desk Anthony was terrible very mean every time we got extra towels we got a interrogation about it he didn’t help with any thing

The property is very dated but clean. The cleaning team is amazing. The front office staff well it depends on who you get. Very dry and not necessarily a warm welcome. More of a newyork style interaction, cold, if you have an issue they don't know what to tell you,not very accommodating but outside of that it's a good last minute option.

Last day of staying there a HUGE ROACH was in my kitchen crawling around...I started scratching from fleas but the service was outstanding...area FLITHY...BEWARE!!!!

We loved having the 2 bedrooms and bathrooms. It was the perfect size for our family of 4. Really good location, felt safe. The breakfast was great.

Would not stay again

There was lots of smell of weeds and carpet was smelling.

Great stay at Sonesta. We had the two bedroom suite which was perfect for families. We didn’t use the kitchen that much, but it was helpful for us. The breakfast was pretty decent, not as big of a selection of hot foods as I would like (e.g. one day with no bacon & no sausage) but eggs each day, oatmeal, fruit, pancakes, coffee.

There were dark stains on the carpet in both rooms as well as tears in the living room chair and sofa. There is/was a small pot up in the cabinet that has caked on dried food stuck to it. I ended up purchasing all of my own dishes to cook with because everything was so disgusting. On our final night, May 23 2025 there was a roach that crawled across the door frame to the room. I suspect the old food stuck on dishes is a contributing factor to the roaches along with some of the extended stays. This is the ONE thing I did not take a picture of because it was fast and because my dad killed it and disposed of it. One of the employees (she refused to give her name) took it upon herself to address me and my dog said "can you please make sure you pick up after your dog". Now - while it appears to be a reasonable request she did not give me an opportunity to pick it up before saying something. My dog was literally in the middle of dropping waste. I am a respectful dog owner and I actually brought my own bags (lavender scented) for waste. I have picked up every single time MEANWHILE my dog and I are dodging huge piles of dog poop from much larger dogs that have not been picked up. This hotel and its employees all need to address those roaches, dirty dishes, misaligned door hinges, etc and not worry about me and my dog. I was willing to accept the wear and tear and even the dirty dishes but the roach, rude employees and lack of response from Joel the manager have changed my mind.

I loved the area of the property and how quiet it was. My room was really nice as well. Definitely will be booking with them again !

First time in Sonesta and the last one. I have never been so poorly treated by a morning desk attendant. She yelled at my kids for looking at hot breakfast before 7am and was on a 10 min tirade for how rude it was for us to come before 7am. The person who brings the food did not mind, he actually felt bad that she treated us that way. What a refreshing start of the day and a piece of 'southern hospitality'. The property itself is a dump. Horrible smell of the carpet, damp sheets, lumpy mattress and pillows.

Property was very good. Everyone including the guest and staff was friendly. Almost felt like a family setting when everyone met for breakfast.

I will most definitely come back

The place wasn't booked solid. So I can't understand how I got a room with a damaged wall and an AC that barely worked.
