Staff at this hotel are so super friendly, helpful and efficient! Gave us great restaurant recommendations at front desk. Called housekeeping for a luggage cart and it arrived in less than a minute. I was having trouble filling my water bottle with the infused water set up, and instantly someone was there to re-arrange it so that I could fill with ease. Amazing customer service for a Comfort Inn!!!!

Clean and beautiful

After a very disappointing experience at the Country Inn & Suites across the street, arriving at the Comfort Inn Williamsburg Gateway felt like a breath of fresh air — truly, it was a night-and-day difference. From the moment we walked in, we noticed how clean and well-maintained the entire property was. The lobby and common areas were tidy and inviting, with tasteful décor that gave a warm, welcoming feel. The front desk staff were professional, courteous, and attentive — a refreshing change that immediately put us at ease. Our room was spotless, quiet, and comfortable. The breakfast area was another highlight: clean, well-stocked, and attentively managed by staff who clearly care about guest experience. The location was also ideal — just a 7-minute drive to the College of William & Mary and Colonial Williamsburg. We enjoyed dinner at a nearby BBQ restaurant and appreciated how close everything was. This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. It offers a great value, and we will absolutely stay here again on our next visit to Williamsburg. Highly recommend!

This is our second year stopping here on our way home from vacation and we cannot say enough good things about this hotel and their staff!! So friendly and accommodating. Everything you look for in a hotel at a very reasonable rate!! We will be back again for sure!!!

Check in was a breeze. Staff was friendly and efficient. Room was very clean and smelled fresh, better than expected, and parking was close. Breakfast was nice with lots of choices. Area was clean and well kept. I would definitely stay there again if back in the area. Highly recommended.

I’ve stayed at this property 2x in the past month. Amazing value. I needed a quick overnight last night while traveling and drove a bit out of my way to stay at this comfort inn bc I knew i would be getting a nice, clean, comfortable place in a nice area with great staff very close to colonial Williamsburg and William and Mary. I hope my daughter goes to college at W&M. This will be my go to hotel if she ends up here;)

We had to move to move to this property having originally checked in to The Wyndeham Garden Hotel, near Busch Gardens - which was absolutely disgusting. We are now having trouble getting a refund from Expedia who have washed their hands of the problem and offered loyalty points. Absolutely disgraceful. Would not use or recommend Expedia for hotels ever again. Once they have your money, they don't want to know. Absolutely zero customer service. Use hotels.com instead - much better service.

We chose this hotel last minute without alot of research and it turned out to be a gem. Close to the outlets, food and felt safe.

They went above and beyond our expectations, particularly for housecleaning - arranged their stuffed animals neatly on their bed - it was a nice touch. It’s a nice place to stay a night or two while in town.

Great place to stay. Very clean, quiet and close to the attractions that are nearby. The only I would complain about is the beds. Unfortunately not very comfortable.

Everything was great, from the breakfast through checkout. The only suggestion I have is the WiFi service at the back of the hotel needs to be stronger, as we kept getting kicked off due to low signal strength.
