Convenient for arrivals at Harwick port. Nice swimming pool with family section.

Pool area wasn’t clean and stank of urine in the changing room. Breakfast wasn’t fresh, eggs had been under the lamp for ages and bacon was cold.

Tired hotel on the outskirts of Colchester. The least friendly check in I’ve ever had at a hotel, miserable receptionist. The room stank of cigarette smoke and the cleanliness left a bit to be desired!

I have stayed here a couple of times for convenience while visiting family. The hotel reception staff were courteous and warm, good car parking facilities. Unfortunately there was a wedding on and the hotel was extremely busy, noisy and untidy in the front of house areas. The room was large and comfortable however not as clean as on previous visits.

Our little dog was made welcome with treats. Parking was easy and safe.

Hotel stay was fine. Reception staff weren't particularly attentive, they all seemed to be busier looking at their computer screens rather than greeting guests

The staff were so nice, really friendly and helpful. We had evening meal and breakfast and they were both great. The pool was fine, had a nice swim, jacuzzi and steam room. The let down was the room hadn’t been cleaned, there were still balloons in the room and leaves in the bath, half a toilet roll from previous guests. Also we got charged 4 different prices at the bar for drinks and a large Chardonnay was £15.95 for a glass, not a bottle, which we found extortionate…

Room smelled of sick when we got in on feb 8th. Staff couldnt move us as no room so had to stay there for 2 nights. We were not allowed to use the gym - even though we would supervise our children. One of the reasons we booked here was for the facilities but the swimming pool was tiny. We could not get into the jacuzzi as members were always in there.
