It was a hot summer when I stay the hotel. My room does not have any air conditionings. The nights were so hot to sleep well. Hotel wifi were very unstable and the credit card system were down at the restaurant.

For me, service is tremendously good. People are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is wonderful, it was worth to spend. Location is nice. Not new or clean as photos, but absolutely the employee of the hotels are as you are in good hotel. However, all were spoiled with toilet or tap water flow. Toilet flushing is as you are in mid of 20th century to flush 10 times or more. This is not only our room, even the toilet in ground floor. Shower is fine, even not strong but at least fine. I don't understand why showers are fine but toilet is not. Usually opposite. Anyway, if you are alone, it won't be problem. But we stayed as family, and not only one night, we were really stressed a lot when we need to go toilet. The flush doesn't clear up easily, and you need sweating work even you are in hot summer. I would doubt the hotel managers are taking too much salaries or the owner is stingy. Anyway location is good, employees are fine, and under Mercure brand, so people will select. But indeed, this hotel should not name as hotel. This is before to let people stay in the room. Change it.

Great service by reception staff

Room a bit tired, bed nice but the room was cold and noisy with wind coming through the metal sash windows

Not clean enough

Blood on the toilet seat, dripping taps, and corridors with an unwelcoming institutional atmosphere. The event spaces are good, the staff are nice, but the rooms themselves are terribly outdated.

Friendly and helpful check in staff. Good sized room. Large burn mark on carpet though. Pool and spa area clean. Jacuzzi lobely

The housekeeper was very pleasant. She worked quickly and left the room smelling fresh.

We were checked in by a very polite and friendly young lady who gave us full information about the hotel We spoke with her again later when a further family member checked in and she had allocated them and adjoining room - such a classy act as the other guest is around 80 years old Well done and thank you

Christmas party, I didnt have breakfast. Found room very cold

The hotel is tired and really needs a refurb. Requested extra pillows at reception, they never arrived, faulty room safe, again reported (room 115). On a positive, breakfast was great!

Staff were great, upgraded room to superior, and wondered why bothered. Only 1 plug socket was available to use so had to choose what to either charge or use. Kettle miles away from socket, fridge balanced on unsteady case rack. Not worth the upgrade. Bathroom not very clean and bedroom dusty. Very dated and building in general very run down. On a positive, staff were friendly and welcoming and bed comfy. Just very basic accommodation

Hotel is good if a little dated. Plenty of parking. Gym is good. Breakfast was excellent. Evening meal was disappointing and rubbery. Walls in the rooms a touch thin though, was woken upto earthquake like snores at 4am from the room next door.

Always a comfortable stay here. Love the breakfast. So tasty, especially the fried bread.

The hotel is tired, rooms cold, acoustics poor. Food menu had quite a few things now available. Reception welcome and experience was great, really nice and knowledgable.

Bed was very comfortable. I slept really well. Only problem with the room was a bit short on the tea and coffee supplies. 4 little sealed pots of milk do not go far enough. Breakfast was good for me although the coffee was dreadful. I would stay here again. The staff are really great.

This is an old smelly hotel with lumpy pillows. Breakfast was actually pretty decent, but everything else looked, felt, and smelt old.
