Breakfast was, as always fabulous. Staff are outstanding

Staff excellent, food good, particularly the breakfast. Housekeeping excellent (daily), great location. Car parking limited. Would highly recommend the hotel.

Excellent location ( near to town centre and promenade). Air conditioned rooms ( now essential ! ). The whole hotel coped well with hot weather. Attentive and professional staff throughout. Sea view rooms face North so they avoid heat for most of the day.

Very well located hotel very close to cafes, restaurants, bars. Staff extremely helpful and efficient. Room spacious and clean. Bathroom well maintained. Breakfast and evening meal were plentiful and very well cooked.

Reception check in was brief, and rushed. Maybe wrong person as overheard another member of staff explaining everything. Our room had an odd smell coming from the toilet constantly. We had to keep the door closed at all times. There were no black out curtains, just blinds , so light was getting into room early, affecting sleep. Breakfast was very disappointing, staff unhelpful, and choice was very poor and sparse. We are there just the one morning and decided to go elsewhere for the rest of our stay. On the plus side the location is great, reception and lounge and restaurant area were very clean and comfortable.

Absolutely lovely hotel, perfect location and great breakfast. The temperature was lovely with the air-conditioning, the beds were very comfortable and the curtains really shut the sun out. We needed a good nights sleep in the hot weather. Just splendid

Very nice hotel, good staff and great breakfast. Try to ask for a higher up room as the lower floors can be noisy especially when there is a high school prom on???, Car parking not as many spaces as advertised as reserved for certain rooms. Great location.

Hotel was very busy with a wedding reception during my short stay so I didn't visit any of the hotels amenities. My room was good with a very welcome bath, but when you lifted the loo seat it wouldn't stay so I had to hold it due to the sh3lf above the lavortory. Breakfast was good but the person in charge was slightly over the top in her welcome, insisting on telling me how breakfast service operates, which I didn't need. She then served me the smallest coffee pot available.

The only thing that was good about this hotel was the location.

Wonderful Hotel. Very caring and friendly staff who always go the extra mile. The views from the Terrace Restaurant are stunning and the food excellent. Definitely going back!

Lovely old Victorian hotel - retains a lot of old world charm, but modernised for today. Attractive to an older clientele, many of whom were returners. Food was excellent, waiting staff were great and over all we had a good holiday.

Great location , great hotel. Slightly dated but grand in every regard.

Very nice hotel,staff were lovely.The room was good,the building is a beautiful Victorian building.Unfortunatley I thought the food could of been better,breakfast and dinner.

Lovely hotel in excellent position. Staff were great and very useful having its own parking. Our only disappointment was the food . Was ok but expected higher standard for both evening meal and breakfast. Was not expecting it to be a self service breakfast which we really don’t like Overall though we had a very enjoyable stay
