We enjoyed the location, the quiet, the extremeley comfortable beds and loved the sauna!

Best place in Calgary downtown for stay

The hotel is quite rundown and dated. It's noisy from the trains passing by in the back, and parking is a hassle without valet. Honestly, there are many better hotels in the area, so I'd stay somewhere else. It really falls short of the usual Fairmont standards compared to other locations.

Everything was great ...except the parking arrangements. Parking is contracted outside the neighboring Calgary Tower.....Max is supposed to be $27 per day and $8 overnight. But that is only if you don't use your car ......Every time you go out in the vehicle it resets....and if you go out 3 x's you will likely be close to $100 per day.

room was tiny!! hot tub wasn't working

Everything was wonderful, except that the hot tub wasn’t working.

Everything was great about our stay. The staff was awesome. They just failed to let us know the hot tub was under maintenance but compensated us for the trouble. Highly recommend.

Staff were amazing. Our room was so nice and the pool and gym were amazing.

Spectacular location and a beautiful building. Unfortunately some of the decorating such as the guest room, the pub and Louisza were decorated in a modern style which looked very out of place. Also, there were limited food options for breakfast and lunch.

Overall everything was great, the only real issue we had was our hallway smelled really bad.

Our room at 465 was noisy. With echoing off all of the surrounding buildings we heard every siren and motorcycle that drove by all night long.

I got a room directly facing the two train tracks and the nightclub below. It is extremely noisy as trains run all hours of the night multiple times a night. The rumbling and screeching of the wheels on the track along with the revving of motorcycles under the bridge and the nightclub music and patrons on the weekend will absolutely keep you up at night. I paid $500 a night and lost two nights of sleep.

Loved the location, the customer service was amazing and the food was the best. Highly reccommend and I would stay again!

The pool had a floating light that was connected to a live wire broken in the pool. I took my baby out and let them know that the hole in the pool wall has a broken floating light and grey debris in the pool from where the broken light was floating from. The hot tub is empty and looks terrible. We went for their pool

Now that I am a dad and my daughter is old enough to travel with us, I have started focusing a lot more on the bang for your buck aspect of things. When all was said and done, we paid close to 800$ for a night at the palliser. Our first room was definitely not worth 700$(gold floor room) for the night. It was pretty basic. You would have gotten charged half the price at other comparable hotels in the area for the same room for one night. The food at the restaurant next to the lobby was mediocre. The pool was very nice. That was probably our favourite part. The gold lounge on the top floor was a nice quiet place to grab a light breakfast It is worth noting that when I spoke to the manager about my disappointment with the hotel, they did kindly offer us a suite(likely for no other reason than it was available), so that was a nice touch. The staff in general were kind. If our first room had been 250-300$ for the night, I would see the value, but for 700$ the value just isn’t there.

Room was clean. Dinning is limited.

Fabulous room for four adults but small bathroom this was discounted for us. Wonderful meals. Great period building.
