コンシュルジェに、空港までの早朝のタクシーの手配を前日に頼んだところ、明日チェックアウトしてからにしてと回答を受け、当日朝の対応は、忙しいせいかまともな対応をしてもらえず、自ら対応をせざるをえなかった。朝食のビュッフェの選択肢が少ないせいもあり、卵料理の調理に列ができていて、料理人と宿泊者が揉めていたり、気持ちの良い対応とは思えなかった。湯船の栓が壊れていて、お湯を貯めることができなかった。

バスルームの扉は重く、完全に開け締めするのは、難しかった。そしてタオルやバスマットが置いて無かったので、リクエストして持って来てもらった。ヘアドライヤーはバスルームでは使えず、フロントに尋ねたが1時間何も返事がなかったので、直接フロントに行ってクレームを入れたが、またも1 時間何の対応も無かったので、今度はヘアドライヤーを持ってフロントに突きつけて返答を約束させた。スタッフが交換のヘアドライヤーを持ってやって来たのは、さらに１時間後。電気ポット用のコンセント以外は使うようにしてくれとの答えだった。鏡の前でヘアドライヤーが使えないホテルは初めてだ。それよりも、たったそれだけ対応に数時間もかかるホテルの姿勢が理解出来ない。寝るのが深夜になってしまい、疲れが癒せなかった。 部屋に入って直ぐのルームキーカードを指す機器には最初からカードが入っていた。 今までのすべてのホテルでのやり方で、部屋を出る時にカードを抜いて出たが、そのカードはルームキーとして機能していなかった。スペアカードを財布に入れていたので助かったが、危うく部屋に入れなくなるところだった。 タクシーを希望したら、ホテルゲート前にたむろしているタクシーを使うように言われた。その怪しげタクシー達はルクソール神殿まで1000EGPだと言う。高いと思ったが、ホテルの案内なので、外人価格なのかと思い、乗った。帰りは街角で捕まえたタクシーでチップ込みで150EGPだった。ホテルは客引きから宿泊客を守るつもりなど無いみたいに感じた。 他にも色々、ホスピタリティの無さを感じたが、それがエジプトなのか、今のシュバインシュタイガーホテルリゾートのクオリティなのかはわからない。 良きホテルになる為に、この書き込みをホテル関係者にこそ、読んで欲しい。

ナイル川を一望できる部屋でした。とてもきれいな部屋でリラックスできました。 ルクソールで一泊するのであればお薦めします。レストランのスタッフも感じの良い人たちでした。 ゆっくりとナイル川を観ながら食事ができました。機会があればもう一度泊まりたいです。

チェックインから部屋に案内されるとき適当な対応をされ非常に不愉快でした。 部屋もドライヤーすらなくとりたて良い部屋でもなかった。 窓も一箇所しかなく眺望もなかった。 五つ星なので期待していましたがガッカリしました。 良かったのは朝食ビュッフェくらいでした。ここのパンは最高に美味しいと思います。

女性2名で宿泊しました。部屋もロビーも清潔できれいです。ナイル川に沈む夕日が綺麗です。 ただシェラトンと期待していくと、少しがっかりするかもしれません。エジプトで、この価格と考えば、この程度で限界かな。レセプションは、特に愛想は良くありませんが、他のスタッフはフレンドリーでした。ただ、ホテルのプールのすぐ外まで、押し売りが入ってきており、せっかくの雰囲気が台無しです。

The receptionist is inconsiderate, we arrive around 11pm with four luggages, they put me in another building which is several mins walk from the main building. and there is no elevator, we had to carry four luggages to the second floor. The room is moldy smell，we turn on the heat and fan on the thermostat, it never gets warm, we changed the temperature to 30, after two hours , the room gets colder. Obviously the heat never works except the fan, I had to turn off the thermostat. I would definitely ask to change the room if it’s not midnight. There is also water on the floor by the toilet. The bed linen were so damp, the pillow were too firm and too high, more like a cushion. I couldn’t sleep due to coldness and damp linen and uncomfortable pillows. The light switches look dirty. Worse than $60 Motel condition in U.S. It looks like there is a big hall for breakfast dishes, but no good quality food. The worst living experience with a hotel.

Decent room. Not a 5 star hotel. More like 3 star. But, did the job. Good stay for visiting Luxor.

The Nile view rooms are great. We loved sitting on the patio and watching the cruises and boats on the Nile. The location is not great. The area just outside the hotel felt unsafe to walk at night. So you pretty much need a taxi to step out. The hotel knows this so all the restaurants within the hotel are overpriced. They also only provide 2 bottles of drinking water a day which isn't sufficient at all.

We had a wonderful stay at Steigenberger Achti Resort—easily the best hotel of our entire trip to Egypt. Our room was very clean and included a thoughtful welcome treat of Turkish/Lebanese-style baklava. The view from the room was stunning, overlooking both the Nile and the hotel’s beautiful garden. On our first evening, we enjoyed an amazing sunset right from our window. The next day we relaxed by the pool, had ice cream at sunset, and watched the sky change colors from the poolside—truly memorable. The breakfast at the Karnak buffet restaurant was excellent, with a wide variety of breads, spices, honey, hot dishes, and cold items. We also enjoyed the food at both hotel restaurants. The chicken at Karnak was juicy and delicious, and at Sofra we had lentil soup, yogurt salad, and BBQ chicken skewers—all very flavorful. Most of the staff were polite and courteous, and the receptionist kindly helped us find a nearby pharmacy. The only negative was a waiter at the traditional café by the pool who was quite rude, but this was an exception in an otherwise fantastic stay. Overall, Steigenberger Achti offered comfort, great food, beautiful views, and warm hospitality—we highly recommend it.

Clean room, helpful staff, fridge in room did not work despite reporting it, disappointed breakfast was not included in reservation as we stayed a couple of days prior with another booking company and breakfast was included for the same price
