古城ホテルや英国のカントリーハウスが好きで、今回英国のカントリーサイドを一人旅し、この素晴らしいホテルに２泊しました。予約した客室が、メインハウスのデラックスで、アンティークなエレガントな家具や調度を備え、絵画で飾られた部屋で、素晴らしいい時間とエレガントなカントリーハウスの居心地のいい雰囲気を過ごせました。時期的にオータムカラーの樹々に囲まれた、広大な敷地に囲まれたホテルで、ゆったりと流れる時間の中で寛げました。ナショナルトラストの管理する素晴らしい英国庭園と風景庭園を自由に散策することが出来ました。機会があれば、また宿泊したいと思います。

Room was delightful,spacious, clean and had great tea making facilities. Staff were welcoming and happy to chat. We loved the Halls historic features which were highlighted in Christmas decor making it very special. We enjoyed a walk around the gardens in the morning before heading off a short distance into York. Fabulous stay and will be back again! Many thanks

This is an exception hotel. Quality customer service and excellent food; traditional atmosphere fitting to the period house and grounds. Really recommended.

Lovely place, nice room and breakfast. The spa was good (didn't try the gym). From a distance the grounds looked good but it was winter and dusk when we arrived so didn't see fully. The staff were outstanding, so friendly and courteous. Good location, 9 minutes drive from the park and ride. I'm only going to rate them 4.9 out of 5 though, as I'll deduct 0.1 points for no baked beans with my full Yorkshire breakfast ;)

First of all I have to mention Stephen, he’d only been working at the hotel 2 weeks but it didn’t show. He knew exactly how to fulfil his role as we were shown round. The house and rooms are beautiful and well laid out. Service perfect from start to finish. Breakfast was wonderful as was the spa. We had a very relaxing stay and will be back again when the weather is better to enjoy the garden. Thank you again.

Lovely historic hotel, impeccable service

The whole experience of staying at the hotel was excellent. The room was really lovely and the staff were very attentive. Did not stay in for dinner but the breakfast was delicious.

The gentleman who showed us to our room could not open the door despite having the key so we stood in the corridor whilst he went off to find a colleague to help. Not a great first impression. However, it is a lovely house, elegant, comfortable and the staff are at ease and welcoming. The food wind and service in the restaurant faultless. Would definitely come back

Middlethorpe Hall is peaceful beautiful elegant country House full of charm. The surroundings inside and out are spectacular. The staff discreetly attentive and charming. Dining options allow formal or informal dining. The Spa offers good quality treatments and the whole experience left me refreshed, relaxed and delighted to have spent time there. Excellent and unique.

Staff had gone over and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible. All were attentive and friendly and it looked like they also enjoyed working there, which makes a difference. They were well mannered polite and graceful. I will certainly come back with family.

Middlethorpe Hall and Spa is a fabulous hotel, one of three owned by the National Trust in the UK. It is set in beautiful grounds and garden. Staff are very welcoming and friendly, the room was spacious and well furnished and the bed was large and comfortable. We had breakfast included in our stay and they catered for most people. Getting into York without using the car was a bonus as the 11 bus has a stop right outside the main driveway entrance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
